Why Katie Price's Fourth Wedding Might Just Be a Publicity Stunt
With no confirmed paperwork and a wedding officiated by a part-time DJ, the ceremony has drawn scepticism from fans and experts alike, many of whom suspect the whole thing was more of a headline grab than a heartfelt commitment.
Katie Price's whirlwind romance has taken another dramatic turn — and this time, it comes with rose petals, a designer dress, and no legal weight whatsoever.
The former glamour model, 47, appeared to tie the knot with Dubai-based Lee Andrews, 43, in a lavish beachside ceremony at the One and Only Royal Mirage — a £600-a-night five-star hotel perched on the Palm Jumeirah.
But despite the opulent setting, the vows, and the champagne toasts, the ceremony reportedly had no legal standing, as it was just a symbolic wedding.
The celebrant, Darryl Rees — a part-time DJ and MC originally from Swansea — confirmed that no legal documents were signed. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Rees said:
"I'm a showman. You have to go to court to have it legalised."

He revealed that he had been conducting these types of ceremonies for five years across Dubai's most exotic locations, often for British couples who either handle the legal paperwork beforehand in the UK or sort it afterward in the UAE.
As for Price and Andrews, it's still unclear whether the pair formalised their union after the staged ceremony. However, their speed to the altar has raised eyebrows.
Just days before she declared her engagement, Price had reportedly broken things off with reality star JJ Slater, 32. By Sunday, she was exchanging vows with Andrews, following a Friday engagement announcement on Instagram.
Fortunately, Dubai wedding expert Rhiannon Downie-Hurst offered clarity on the nature of symbolic ceremonies in the region.
The news left her family stunned — so much so that, according to reports, they were considering staging an intervention. As for the wedding in question, photos showed Price wearing a revealing cut-out dress, towering heels, and flaunting a large diamond ring.
The couple posed in the hotel's immaculate gardens, surrounded by rose petals and the shores of the Persian Gulf. They reportedly exchanged vows read from an iPad before toasting with glasses of champagne and posing for solo and couple shots.

Despite the glamour, the speed and setting of the ceremony led many to question the authenticity of it all. While Rees insisted the pair seemed "madly in love," saying, "They were both looking into each other's eyes the whole time [...] just transfixed," the underlying facts tell a more calculated story.
Rees admitted he was only contacted the day before the ceremony. "They got engaged on the Friday and two days later, I'm standing in front of them, marrying the couple," he said.

He also acknowledged that the pair mentioned possibly legalising the wedding the following Monday, though whether that ever happened remains unknown.
Fortunately, Dubai wedding expert Rhiannon Downie-Hurst offered clarity on the nature of symbolic ceremonies in the region. The Founder of Bride Club ME explained that recent legal reforms allow residents and tourists to marry through civil courts.

However, the process requires documentation, identity checks, and approvals. Spontaneous legal weddings are rare. Commenting on Price's wedding, Downie-Hurst stated:
"From an industry expert perspective, what was publicly visible appeared to follow the format of a symbolic wedding celebration, which is extremely common in Dubai."
That distinction between real and symbolic wasn't lost on the public — and many weren't buying the fairy tale. "The quickie engagement with a big ring and followed by a quickie wedding that isn't even legal, so Katie Price you are legally not married 💩 [sic]," one person shared.
Another typed, "There marriage wasn't legally binding the ceremony was performed by a DJ who does it on the side if they want it legal the have to go to a justice of the peace either in Dubai or the uk [sic]."
Scepticism continued to mount. "No chance they were married in the short time they claim, there is a 28 days wait while the notice to marry is put out before you get the clearance!" commented one. Another claimed, "You can cancel the wedding after a few days. So you're officially not married."
Some saw more than just romance behind the ceremony. "I think it's a business arrangement between the two of them to do with money the marriage us a cover [sic]," wrote one commenter. Another simply stated, "Shock horror."
The flurry of public reaction seemed to mirror the event itself — flashy, fast-moving, and wrapped in spectacle. As it stands, without court documents or any legal confirmation, Katie Price and her new man are not legally husband and wife.

They may be smitten — or they may be strategic. Either way, in the eyes of the law, this wedding remains more theatre than matrimony.
Furthermore, as we previously reported, Price's family have been left stunned and deeply alarmed after she revealed she had tied the knot just one week after meeting her new Dubai-based businessman lover.

The whirlwind romance has reportedly triggered crisis talks among her loved ones, who are said to be preparing an intervention amid fears for her well-being.
The shock announcement came over the weekend when Price disclosed on Instagram that she and Andrews were not only engaged but had already wed in a low-key ceremony in Dubai. No family members were present.

According to sources, her relatives were blindsided by the news and only learned about the engagement at the same time as the public — via her social media. An insider said:
"The family found out about the engagement on Instagram. They were stunned. It came as a massive shock to them all. Katie's family are so worried as it's all happening so fast."

Price's relatives, already unsettled by her recent split from JJ Slater just weeks ago, have yet to meet Andrews. Their concern has only deepened, as this latest wedding marks her ninth engagement and fourth marriage.
In a further twist, Price explained that her connection with Andrews began online and intensified rapidly. "How I met Lee was esoteric," she shared. "We connected by checking each other's socials and quickly realised, 'Wow, this is for me.'"

She went on to say they had matching tattoos and exchanged rings before even meeting in person. "We let fate, or you could say destiny, decide," Price added.
Her family, however, seems unconvinced by the idea of destiny. A source close to them revealed that they are planning to sit Price down for a serious discussion. The insider said:
"Everyone is worried she's spinning out of control. They haven't even met this man and if she's only known him a week, he could be anyone. Nobody is planning to hold back."

Concerns have been amplified by red flags surrounding Andrews. The Sun recently reported that photographs of him had appeared on male escort websites in Dubai under the name Noah.
Responding to the claims, Andrews, who, according to his social media, is the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 as well as an investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness, stated, "I can assure you I am definitely not."
"I don't know if it's a disgruntled ex using my pictures and fake images or taking something from Instagram. I can assure you it's definitely not me. That is not true; it is not what I do," he continued.
Further scrutiny of his social media shows him appearing in allegedly edited photos alongside tech mogul Elon Musk and reality TV star Kim Kardashian, prompting more doubts about the authenticity of his online presence.
Andrews was also previously married to fitness influencer Dina Sari Taji, with whom he was believed to have been in a relationship from 2020 to 2024.
The timing of the marriage, so soon after her split from Slater, has only deepened public scepticism.
Fans quickly noticed similarities between the ring he gave Taji and the one now seen on Price's finger, sparking speculation he may have recycled the same engagement ring.
Compounding matters, The Sun reported that Andrews had proposed to another woman just four months ago — and in the same fashion. The subsequent backlash online has been swift and brutal.

Many netizens voiced alarm over Price's decisions and the potential consequences for her children. One person typed, "Poor kids 😢," while another added, "Another man around her kids."
Concern for her family life was a recurring theme, with one comment reading, "Marrying a man your kids have never met is borderline social service call out."
Another individual questioned her priorities, typing, "Her poor kids this parade of men did she even think about them? [sic]"

Others expressed more sorrow than judgement, as one netizen wrote, "Shocking. But let's hope this Lee is not user. Feel sorry for her most of young men she goes for just using her and dump her [sic] 😢😢."
A particularly distressed comment read, "My heart breaks for her. She's starving to death as well as broken. Surely someone can intervene as she is very very ill and I don't honestly think she will be with us for much longer."

The timing of the marriage, so soon after her split from Slater, has only deepened public scepticism. That, combined with questions around Andrews' background and alleged online fabrications, has led to mounting calls for Price's inner circle to step in.

The lack of family involvement and the way in which major life events have been revealed via social media rather than direct contact has created a sense of estrangement between Price and those closest to her.
Their planned intervention appears to be a last-ditch effort to re-establish some connection and bring clarity to a situation that, to outsiders and relatives alike, seems increasingly volatile.
For Price, who has built a career on reinvention and public spectacle, this may be another chapter in a tumultuous life. But for her family and many observers, it's a worrying sign of deeper issues that can no longer be ignored.
