It comes with no surprise that Adam Levine’s farewell montage was nothing short of gratitude in celebration of his iconic judging on NBC’s “The Voice. The Maroon 5 lead singer’s time on the show, which has run for 16 seasons, has come to an end.

Levine penned a heartfelt goodbye to those who have been with him on the show’s journey and posted it on his Instagram account, starting with a flashback eight years ago.

“Mark Burnett convinced us to sign up for this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back turned away from the singers on stage,” he wrote.

ADAM’S FAREWELL

“The Voice’s” ex-judge gave credit to the show’s producer, Burnett, for persuading him to join the show in 2011 and NBC for signing with him.

“I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life,” Levine said.

He continued to thank every coach who has been with him on the show and everyone who supported him during his journey. Levine gave a special mention to Carson Daly for “babysitting the musicians” and for having everyone’s backs, saying “we appreciate you more than you know.”

“BROTHER FOR LIFE”

One of the more notable people Levine mentioned on his farewell was his fellow judge since the pilot episode of the show, Blake Shelton, whom he frequently argues with on screen.

The alleged reason behind the 40-year-old’s exit was the rule changes made last season, specifically the Live Cross Battles, which cost him to lose a big chunk of his team, and eventually, everyone on his team.

“Seriously. I tried. Can’t do it. Our friendship is and always will be one for the books. Whatever this whole surreal experience was, Im just happy I got to experience it with you. You’re my brother for life,” Levine added.

The two judges made it a norm to have minor bickerings amid the show, which they have admitted to becoming extensive at times, yet their level of friendship has surpassed the point of taking jokes too seriously. At the end of the day, they are, and always be, “brothers for life.”

LEAVING BECAUSE OF CHANGES

The alleged reason behind the 40-year-old’s exit was the rule changes made last season, specifically the Live Cross Battles, which cost him to lose a big chunk of his team, and eventually, everyone on his team.

According to a source who spoke to TVLine, Levine did not want to attend Sunday’s taping and was being “very difficult” on the show, refusing to comment on the other judge’s contestant’s performance.
