Mama June's Sister Prays ‘She Comes Back Home to Her Family’ Amid Ongoing Struggles

Amid Mama June Shannon's drug and health problems, her sister, Joanne "Doe Doe" Shannon, stays optimistic that she'll return home.

On a recent episode of "Mama June: From Not to Hot," it was revealed that the WeTV personality had been living at an Alabama casino with her boyfriend, Geno Doak, for quite a while.

“We’re sharing our story in hopes that it helps another family and I sincerely want to thank our fans for always being there and loving and supporting us.”

After the episode aired, Doe Doe took to Instagram to share that she missed Mama June and that she had been praying the TV star would return home soon.

"Miss my sister [Mama June] this was some fun times in Vegas," Doe Doe wrote. "Praying she comes back home to her family and friends who loves her unconditionally. We can get through this together."

Doe Doe's sentiment comes after the hit television series, "Mama June: From Not to Hot," announced to viewers exactly how awful her issues truly were.

During the episode, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, Mama June's daughter, shared that her mother was living in a casino with her boyfriend Doak, gambling away a significant portion of her savings.

Mama June was arrested on March 13 on drug possession charges. The reality star has remained silent on the legal issues. However, Pumpkin decided to speak out.

“Hey guys, as you know, you’ve seen the stuff out in the media and our family is going through a rough patch," she said.

“But this year alone we have had a lot of happiness. And when my mom and Alana were out in California and everything seemed good. Then the next couple months rolled around and things took a turn,” she added.

“We’re sharing our story in hopes that it helps another family and I sincerely want to thank our fans for always being there and loving and supporting us.”

Mama June's boyfriend was also arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It is not the first time that Mama June has had a run-in with the law. In 2008, she was arrested for theft and contempt of court.
