Cary Grant's Only Daughter Is 53 Years Old and She's Following in Her Father's Footsteps

Jennifer Grant, Cary Grant’s only daughter, has shown the world that she inherited her father’s acting power.

Jennifer has starred in several movies and television shows. She landed her first role in 1993 on the television show, “Beverly Hills, 90210”, according to IMDB. She went on to appear in nine movies a dozen television shows.

She has written about her father-daughter relationship with the legendary actor and how his death impacted her life.

Jennifer was born to Cary and actress, Dyan Cannon, on February 26, 1966, in Burbank, California. She initially pursued a career path away from acting. She received a degree in history and political science from Stanford University in 1987.

RISE TO STARDOM

Her famous father was reportedly not supportive of her pursuing a career in acting, so she took up a job in a law firm. She also had a stint as a chef.

But her desire for acting later prevailed. While she began her acting in television in 1993, she got her first movie role in 1996, in the film, “Savage.”

Jennifer later starred in the films “The Evening Star,” “Erasable You,” “My Engagement Party,” “The View from the Swing,” “Going Shopping,” “Welcome to California,” “Ghost Squad” and “Becoming Cary Grant.”

Jennifer was Cary’s only child. She was born a year after Cary married Dyan in 1965. The actor was 62 years old by the time she was born.

Jennifer has written about her father-daughter relationship with the legendary actor and how his death impacted her life. She was only 20 years old when the iconic actor died.

“The grief of losing my father has come in waves over the years, as it does with most people. His love and devotion as a father provided my closest, most intimate relationship. Dad and our time together is in my bones,” she wrote in a book.

Also named Jennifer, Landon’s daughter has been part of several shows such as "House," "The Young and the Restless," "Banshee," and joined the TNT drama, "Animal Kingdom." Her exemplary work has earned her three Emmy awards.
