Jessa Duggar Is ‘over the Moon’ as She Shares Adorable New Photos of Her Newborn Daughter

Only about a week ago, Jessa Duggar shared a photo of her baby bump on her Instagram page. She delivered a baby girl and shared adorable photos of her beautiful baby, again on Instagram.

The Seewalds have a new addition to the family. Jessa Duggar gave birth to a girl, Ivy Jane on May 26th. Ivy is Jessa and Ben Seewald’s third child.

The family is understandably ecstatic about Ivy’s birth and Jessa echoed those sentiments with posts on her Instagram page.

THE SEEWALDS ARE OVER THE MOON

Jessa’s Instagram page was awash with snapshots of her baby. Her first post had Baby Ivy wrapped in a baby blanket, wearing a pink baby dress and grey baby bow headband.

Jessa captioned the post with the words, “Introducing Ivy Jane Seewald," with two heart emojis in between. In the second post, Mrs. Seewald posted a series of adorable photos of her cute baby. The first showed her and husband, Ben staring lovingly at Baby Ivy.

This time, the cute baby was wearing a green baby dress and the grey headband. She was also wrapped in the blanket. The photo was followed by three others.

One of them showed baby Ivy with her eyes open, while the two others showed her sleeping, and it was very much adorable. Jessa duly captioned the post with the words:

“We are over the moon. #BabySeewald3 Ivy Jane Seewald.”

They really have the right to be.

THE SEEWALDS BREAK NAMING TRADITIONS WITH BABY IVY

Ben and Jessa have traditionally given their children names that have links to the bible. Their first two children, sons Spurgeon Elliot, and Matthew Henry were given names that had connections with the bible and Christian missionaries.

However, Baby Ivy Jane’s name has little connection, Ivy is only mentioned once in the Bible, in reference to a plant. Jane is the derived version of Johanna, a name that was given to a wife of one of Herod Antipas’ stewards.

BABY IVY SHARES HER BIRTHDAY WITH HER GREAT GRANDMA

Baby Ivy was born on May 26, and so shares her birthday with a senior member of the Duggar family. Ivy’s Great Grandma Mary, who is also Jim Bob’s mom.
