George and Amal Clooney Appear at the King's Trust 50th Anniversary – Fans Discuss Their Looks
May 12, 2026

It was an art gala so naturally, Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy showed up in fashionable art pieces. Their powerful presence easily made them the most stunning mother-daughter duo in the event.
Tina Knowles Lawson, also known as Beyonce’s mother, hosted this year’s Wearable Art Gala which drew celebrities and art enthusiasts to the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. This year’s theme was “A Journey to the Pride Lands” prompting Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter to come in “The Lion King” inspired creations.
Beyonce wore a golden bodysuit by Georges Hobeika. The sequined jumpsuit had a lion’s head in the chest area and feathers surrounding it resembling its mane. A flowing cape of the same color completed the ensemble urging us to bow down to Queen Bey’s regal presence.
Meanwhile, Blue channeled her inner Beyonce wearing a yellow gown with a giant headdress. She even performed a song from “The Lion King” in a short clip her mother shared on Instagram along with photos revealing the singer’s exceptional look. Blue’s father, Jay-Z was also in attendance in a black suit.
Basing it on a video Tina shared encapsulating the events that transpired that night, it was a complete success. There were music and an art auction plus celebrities who came in art-inspired costumes reminiscent of the Met Gala. Spotted among the crowd were Beyonce’s former Destiny’s Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. We wonder if they discussed the Destiny’s Child musical Mathew Knowles, Beyonce’s father is producing for next year.
Also present at the event were Tyler Perry, Tiffany Haddish, Star Jones, Magic and Cookie Johnson, Viola Davis, Robin Givens, and many more.
Tina and her husband, Richard Lawson are art enthusiasts who co-founded the Wearable Art Gala to raise money for their North Hollywood non-profit gallery and performance space. They each have mentorship programs too known as Tina’s Angels and Richard’s Warriors which benefit from the event. During last year’s gala, the couple raised $1.2 million. This year, they aimed to raise more.
Disney was on board for this year’s event, especially because its theme coincides with the film outfit’s latest live-action film version of “The Lion King.” Beyonce stars as Nala in the new adaptation of the popular Disney classic and what better way to promote her movie than arrive as a Lion queen.
As early as now, the film is projected to make a killing in box office sales. Helmed by director John Favreau who also directed “The Jungle Book,” the film which also stars Danny Glover and James Earl Jones expects to surpass Aladdin’s recent box office success. With Beyonce on board, this projection may prove to be on point.
