Jennifer Lopez Wears an Abs-Revealing Crop Top Paired with a Train Maxi Skirt for the Fashion Icon Awards
Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to show off the stunning orange two-piece ensemble she wore to the CFDA Awards.
The famous singer was in attendance with her fiance, Alex Rodriguez at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards. The star-studded event held yesterday and had Lopez wearing a two-piece Ralph Lauren ensemble.
Aware of how great the combo is, the “Out of Sight” star shared a photo of the extravagant outfit on her Instagram page. The picture is just hours old, and it has already amassed well over a million likes and over 10,000 comments!
The reason couldn't be more evident as the cropped top put the 49-year-old beauty’s toned midriff on display. Lopez’s abs, being the only skin observable, is a sharp contrast to the full train of the ensemble.
The custom made getup included a turtleneck crystal embellished crop top which put the 49-year-old beauty’s abs in full display. It comes with an over the top skirt which fits snugly to her waist with a sporty drawstring and a full train.
Ever the trendsetting fashionista, the mother of two accessorized with 3.23-carat Harry Winston diamond link earrings and a 2.44-carat diamond Harry Winston ring. As if that wasn't already enough bling, JLo held on to a sparkling red clutch and wore matching red platform heels as she walked the red carpet.
Albeit dramatic, her ensemble was just the perfect thing for the event where CFDA honored her with the “Fashion Icon Award.” The “Love Don't Cost A Thing” crooner captioned her new post with an appreciative message directed at Ralph Lauren and CFDA. She wrote:
“Orange is the new black. Thankful and humbled to receive the @cfda Fashion Icon award tonight. Thank you @ralphlauren for this beautiful custom look!!”
The award is recognized as a way of CFDA recognizing the laudable trendsetters in fashion and JLo, who is popularly known for her distinct taste in fashion, couldn't have been more deserving. She said at the event:
“I love fashion. Growing up in the Bronx loving fashion, to be here tonight amongst all these designers and artists and to be honored for what I love to do anyway, it’s like a dream I am super excited.”
Also in attendance was her former sports star beau, Alex Rodriguez who looked mighty fine himself all suited up. Being the supportive lover he should be, he spoke lovingly of JLo winning the award saying that “she represents everybody, Brooklyn, the Bronx, everybody.”
