Now, Forbes has immortalized his achievement as starting from the bottom to the top as one of the richest names in music. This caused a lot of people to celebrate him for being a good example to the rest of the hip-hop world who would one day want to achieve the same success.

Happy for his brother

Of course, those who have journeyed with Jay-Z greeted him for his success, one of them being Diddy. The rapper took to Twitter to share his pride, calling the rapper his "brother."

In a world where crab mentality is a norm in some places, it is great to see brothers lifting one another up, celebrating each other's victories. Feeling genuine happiness for somebody else's success if hard to come by nowadays, and this just proves how good of a friend Diddy is.

Giving Back to Others

Speaking of good, Jay-Z has made sure to stay good, humble, and true despite all the success and wealth he's had in life. He and his wife, Beyonce, never forgot where they came from and are big advocates of helping other people.

Recently, the Carters surprised a fan in their concert with a $100,000 college scholarship. They described the recipient as a future marine biologist, a torch club president, and keystone vice-president. At that moment, Mikayla Lowry, 17, knew that it was her.

The 17-year-old never thought she'd get a scholarship after attending the "On The Run II" concert, but that's exactly what she got.

A Culture of Generosity

This is only one of the many good deeds that the couple has done, as they've also recently purchased a lot to build a school.

Truly, Jay-Z and Beyonce are examples of what music icons should be, especially with a lot of people from the industry look up to them as their idols.
