Abby Huntsman of ‘The View’ Delivers Twins (Photos)
On Wednesday night, Abby Huntsman and her husband added two more members to their family. The View’s co-host gave birth to twins, a cute baby girl, and an adorable baby boy.
Abby Huntsman, 33, gave birth to twins: daughter Ruby Kate at 9:45 p.m. and son William Jeffrey in New York City. The co-host of The View revealed: “Ruby came first at 5 lbs., 12 oz. She is a sweet, very calm baby.”
She also joked about her son’s 20-minute-later birth saying: “William is 5 lbs., 4 oz., and came into the world wide-eyed and ready to raise havoc.” The host confessed: “Both babies are long like their parents — 19 inches.”
She is now officially a mother of three as she and her husband, Jeffrey Livingston, are already parents to a daughter named Isabel Grace, 18-months-old. The birth was attended by Huntsman’s parents.
"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."
Her father Jon Huntsman, the US Ambassador to Russia, and her mother Mary Kaye came all the way from Moscow. The television host announced her twins’ birth on Thursday via Instagram.
She captioned an image of her husband celebrating with her with a kiss quoting the line: “'Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your [red heart emoji].'" Huntsman then wrote: "Ruby Kate and William Jeffrey came into this world last night bright-eyed and beautiful.”
She added:
“Couldn’t be more in love and thankful for a smooth delivery. The human body is truly an amazing thing. So are the amazing doctors and nurses who make it all possible."
The star initially announced that she was pregnant in January on The View. At the time she’d said: "Everyone at this table's been so supportive, but Whoopi has these candies on here and I was so sick for the past three months -- as they all knew -- so I'm sorry if I haven't totally been myself every day, but you always hand me your candies just to help me feel better.”
She went on to tell her co-hosts and the viewers:
"My husband, by the way, fainted in the doctor's office when we found out. I was sitting there, my feet in the stirrups with the robe on and [he] passes out and he's got two doctors on him, wiping his face with cold towels.”
Huntsman revealed:
“And then they bring in a box of chocolates and [are like,] 'Honey, you've got to take some sugar.' I look over and I'm like, 'Are you serious? You aren't delivering these things!'"
Ironically, the host was pregnant at the same time as two of her other sisters, Liddy and Mary Anne. In an Instagram post, she shared an image of them standing together and captioned it: "A moment in time we’ll never forget..three sisters pregnant together in NYC.”
On March 20, Liddy gave birth to her son. Huntsman has four other siblings.
