On a recent online episode of his web series “Motivated,” Steve Harvey offered his viewers advice on achieving success.
The talk show host and comedian, who went from being homeless to a net worth of roughly $160 million, is a firm believer in positive thinking.
STEVE HARVEY KEEPS IT POSITIVE
Harvey is going through a difficult moment in his career since his talk show was canceled and the time slot is given over to Kelly Clarkson's new talk show.
Just days after NBC announced the cancelation, they dropped Harvey as host of the hit show “Little Big Shots" and substituted him with comedian Melissa McCarthy. Nevertheless, Harvey is following his own advice and viewing the changes as an opportunity.
For Harvey, success is a question of attitude, and he's proved it in his own life.
STEVE HARVEY SAYS "NO" TO NEGATIVITY
Harvey revealed that the secret to living successfully is being positive. He pointed out that most people start their day with negative feelings which results in a negative experience.
“So guess what? ‘Man, I hate my alarm clock went off this morning … I don’t even like these people on my job, I can’t stand this car I’m finna get in this morning’ … and your day starts tumbling into what you ordered at the top of the day,” he said.
TURNING IT AROUND WITH POSITIVE THINKING
Harvey points out that the power of thought can be used positively.
“You could wake up in the morning and you say, ‘You know what? Today is gon’ be a great day today. I expect something really good to happen for me today. Man, thank you, Lord, for waking me up this morning. (...) Man, it’s gon’ be a great day today!’” Harvey said.
STEVE HARVEY: "THINK YOURSELF SUCCESSFUL"
For Harvey, success is a question of attitude, and he's proved it in his own life. After the recent setbacks in his career, Harvey has bounced back.
“In this 62nd chapter, I got my finger on the corner of the page. All I’m doing is I’m about to turn it. I can’t wait to see what God got for me on that other page,” he said.
Harvey is facing the changes in his life as new opportunities that God is opening up for him, a chance to expand his experience and conquer new challenges.
