In a surprising move, the reality television star threatened to cancel her husband’s extravagant Christmas party. She, however, decided to take charge of everything, leading to a great outcome at the end.

The last episode of the favorite family reality show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians" revealed Kim Kardashian’s budgeting skills. The episode was based on the family’s Christmas Eve bash, hosted by Kim and Kanye last year. The bash was lavish from the looks of it, but it would have been way more lavish if Kim had let her husband have his way.

THE KARDASHIAN’S CHRISTMAS EVE PARTY

The Kardashians traditionally host their friends to a Christmas Eve bash on an annual basis thanks to "momager" Kris Jenner who created the bash. But she had to step down on that role, quite emotionally, after Kim told her there would be a change of guards.

KANYE GOES OVER THE TOP WITH THE PARTY PLANS

Kim told Kanye about the party, and he came up with some crazy ideas. While Kim was going through the plans, she discovered that her husband’s ideas were way too extravagant, and this made her begin to make changes.

She eventually called him and made her feelings known, and even threatened to cancel the party. During the call, Kim first told him not to be upset and then explained that finances stresses her out, and thus the party was costing too much for just one night.

She also removed some things she considered unnecessary, such as the ice skating rink, and plans to put snow on the street.

FURTHER CHALLENGES FOR KIM

The party’s finances were not the only thing Kim had to deal with. She also had to iron out the wrinkles caused by her decision to invite Caitlyn Jenner, her mother’s ex.

This decision didn’t go down well with her sisters, especially Khloe, who felt that they needed to care more about their mom’s peace than anything else.

Caitlyn and Kris had been on different paths since the former transitioned; Caitlyn’s handling of Kris’ story on her memoir also caused more rift in the family.

However, despite Khloe’s anger at the invitation extended to Caitlyn, Kris asked her daughters to let things be, as she didn’t want to hurt Kendall and Kylie. She promised she would be fine as long as she had her friend, Vodka around.

When the day of the bash finally came, it recorded a resounding success. Kim’s changes took full effect, everyone was happy, and even Caitlyn’s presence was well handled. Moreover, Khloe ended up dancing all night, while Kim admitted to being drunk. The Kardashians always pull through, don’t they?

Even though Kim Kardashian made cuts on the spendings for the party, it still reportedly cost around $1.3 million. The party was complete with beautiful white décor, snow, and of course, Santa Claus.
