Savannah Guthrie Shares Photos of Little Son and Daughter's Graduation
NBC's Today show co-host, Savannah Guthrie is beaming with pride as she celebrated her Daughter, Vale, and Son, Charley's graduations during the week. She took to Instagram to share these proud moments with videos and pictures as her daughter and son graduated preschool and pre-preschool, respectively.
Savannah Guthrie showed the world how proud she is of her two kids, Vale, 4, and Charley, 2 in a recent Instagram post.
Her babies were finally graduating with Vale leaving pre-school, while little Charley was finishing from pre-preschool.
The post was not without a sweet caption to go with it. She wrote:
"My heart bursts with gratitude. Can't believe I have two little graduates! First day of preschool (and pre-preschool) seems a long time ago. So proud of my little loves. Thank you, next!"
By fall, Charley would be starting the next stage, which is preschool, and Vale would be moving on to kindergarten next year.
Guthrie didn't stop at just sharing pictures of the cute event. She went on to share throwback photos of both of them hugging it out as they started school last year September.
In the video of the graduation, her little bundles of joy were beaming with delight as they donned their graduation caps and gowns and received their certificate from their teacher.
This post alone got over 35,000 likes and numerous comments about how adorable her kids were.
While fans were ecstatic about the event, colleagues and celebrities were not left out as they also poured in their heartfelt messages for the happy mom and her graduates.
Her Today colleague, Jenna Bush Hager, who is expecting her third child, commented:
"Congrats beautiful, soulful Vale!!! And Charley hello and I love you."
As beautiful as this event was, the start of school wasn't so thrilling for the mother of two. Savannah shared with PEOPLE how difficult it was to get them to start school.
According to her, Vale did not want to start school, and when asked why the little girl replied saying:
"I want to stay home with you and Charley and Daddy."
That seems to be history now!
NOT SAVANNAH'S FIRST TIME AT A GRADUATION
This isn't the host's first affair with a graduation ceremony. Last month, Savannah was granted the opportunity to deliver the commencement speech at the George Washington University.
"What you're doing, the life you live, the company you keep, the friends you have and the things you learn along the way, that is the goal. At some point, I say, 'Your path is your purpose.' And I really believe that. I'm all for setting high goals and just really trying to get after them, but I want them to feel good about whatever their path looks like." She said at the ceremony.
The 47-year-old show host urged the graduates to worry less and enjoy life as it comes their way.
