Donald Trump Praises Kim Kardashian during Her Appearance at the White House

Kim Kardashian has been frequenting the White House thanks to her newfound passion for trying to serve inmates who were wrongfully imprisoned. Donald Trump made sure to commend Kim Kardashian, saying she will be "one of the most successful lawyers" once she gets her law degree.

Kim Kardashian-West isn't stopping at just freeing inmates, and she's now revealed that she's created a new ride-sharing partnership with an existing company that would provide former inmates with free transportation to and from job interviews and even jobs.

Ally of the First Step Act

President Donald Trump, during Kim's most recent White House visit, said quick opening remarks that acknowledged how Kim Kardashian has been a great ally in the passage of the First Step Act, which was signed into law last December.

The law focuses on divisive issues that include sentencing reforms and an expansion of programs that aim to help prisoners have the same opportunities as others when they are released, one of them being job training.

“Jared [Kushner] and Ivanka [Trump] were incredible, they really pushed it. And I think they were pushed a little bit by Kim Kardashian. So thank you, Kim. And Kanye [West], thank you.”

Kim's Journey on Criminal Justice Reform

According to Trump, his daughter Ivanka, Jared Kushner, and Kim Kardashian did a wonderful job pushing the law. After a couple more words, he invited Kim up the stage to announce the new project she has been working on.

“I’d like to invite up a very special guest, and a powerful advocate for not only justice reform, but just a good person and I hear she’s starting to study law, she’s also one of the most successful people in the entertainment business, soon she’ll be one of the most successful lawyers. But I knew her father and I’ll tell you, she’s got good genes — good genes for everything. She’s been a real friend and her husband has been a real friend of mine. Kim Kardashian West.”

Kim went up to the stage and spoke about her journey to be an ally of criminal justice reform. This journey began during Kardashian-West's first White House visit, where she asked for help in freeing a prisoner. Since then, she's helped in releasing almost twenty prisoners and is on the road to help even more as she is studying to become a lawyer.
