Bernie McGee of 'Seeking Sister Wife' Dies at 41 Leaving Behind His Wife and 2 Young Sons
The star of TLC’S reality series “Seeking Sister Wife”, Bernie McGee, tragically passed away at the age of 41 on June 15. McGee is survived by his wife, Paige McGee and their children.
According to a GoFundMe Page set up to gather funds for McGee’s funeral, Bernie’s sudden death was caused by heat stroke/heart attack. Furthermore, the message revealed that Bernie had called his wife to let her know he wasn’t feeling well before he tragically passed away.
Words are not enough to describe what the family must be going through after losing its father figure. The tragedy took place just when the family was pushing hard to get everything back together after losing everything they had to a house fire.
Requesting people to make donations to help McGee family, the statement read: “Please keep this family in your prayers and help financially if you can, no donation is too small and will help a lot. Thank you for everyone's help during this difficult time.”
In wake of McGee’s tragic death, TLC released a statement to reach out to the mourning family.
“Our hearts go out to the McGee family following the loss of husband and father, Bernie McGee. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time,” the statement read.
His obituary described him as a person who loved outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and bike riding.
“Seeking Sister Wives” is a TLC hit show that follows the lives of couples who are willing to explore polygamy. According to TLC, the McGees were inspired to look for a sister wife in the series after they lost their house in Mississippi to a fire accident.
The series was introduced after TLC’s “Sister Wives”, which also revolves around the lives of couples looking to explore polygamy, became hugely popular amongst fans.
