The network is doubling its polygamy programming after a hit show.

In Touch Weekly reported that the Alldredges are related to the Browns of Sister Wives in an unusual way.

After Sister Wives proved to be a hit, TLC is back with the new show, Seeking Sister Wife.

The show will introduce audiences to three families, the Brineys, the Snowdens, and the Alldredges, as they prepare to add another spouse each.

The new show could be a spinoff of Sister Wives, given the overlap between the Alldredges and the Browns. The source discussed how Jeff Alldredge, wives Vanessa and Sharis, and their seven children fit into the picture.

A Reddit user discovered that the Alldredges owe a debt of gratitude to the Browns from a message posted by Sharis Alldredge on the Seeking Sister Wife Facebook fan page.

Sharis said, ‘We know the Brown family really well. Jeff and Kody go way back… Before they moved to Vegas, we would go to their house about once a month to watch UFC. Jeff and Vanessa met at Kody’s!’

The two families have another connection. Mitch Thompson, Vanessa’ brother, went down on one knee in front of Aspyn Brown, Christine and Kody’s daughter in December 2017.

Sharis revealed via a Facebook post in January that many are upset with the family’s decision to participate in Seeking Sister Wife. She also admitted that she had reservations about being a reality star.

When TLC first approached them, she was “terrified” and declined the offer. She was not keen on risking exposing her family to the world that hated her.

She changed her decision after realizing that their participation may make the world more tolerant of polygamy and life easier for her family.

She confessed that she was still afraid, but wanted to set an example of courage for her children. She explained that courage for her was not living without fear, it was being scared but doing the right thing anyway.

She understands there are risks involved while she exposes her family to the world, but hopes she is always able to risk everything she has for the just and right cause.
