Melissa McCarthy Turns Heads on the Red Carpet at the MTV Awards

Actress Melissa McCarthy, who looks spectacular, confident, and comfortable, was a head-turner on the red carpet at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

The ceremony, which took place on June 15 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, was loaded up with show-stopping looks. A lot of celebrities unquestionably standout with all the stunning couture.

"I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked."

McCarthy, 48, wowed everybody with her beautiful gown — a $1,341 floor-length full-sleeved dark metallic sequined dress with a V-neck. She opted for a dark shade of lipstick, and those shades surely make the look.

The award-winning actress was accompanied by Tiffany Haddish, 39, and Elisabeth Moss, 36 — her co-stars in the upcoming crime drama "The Kitchen."

For the event, Haddish wore a split gown that went off-the-shoulder at one side and featured an elaborate sleeve at the other. She accessorized herself with earrings and a ring.

Meanwhile, Moss sported a black minidress that featured a black left sleeve and a fishnet right sleeve. The outfit also highlighted a silver dragon.

McCarthy, Haddish, and Moss play Irish mob wives whose husbands are shipped off to jail in their upcoming movie "The Kitchen," written and directed by Andrea Berloff.

McCarthy, who recently revealed that she's a super fan of pop star Billie Eilish, has been open about her choice to eat healthier. She has lost a significant amount of weight over the past year.

The actress revealed in a 2015 interview with Life & Style that she was able to shed pounds after she quit dwelling over her size.

"I truly stopped worrying about it. I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked," she said.

McCarthy started appearing in television and films in the late 1990s. She rose to fame for her role as Sookie St. James on the television series, "Gilmore Girls."
