Tori Spelling's Husband Dean McDermott Reveals He's in Hospital with 'Pneumonia, Possibly Meningitis'
Tori Spelling’s husband revealed in a post on social media that he is hospitalized with Pneumonia and may also be suffering from meningitis amid other things.
No one likes to be sick, and Tori Spelling’s husband, Dean McDermott is complaining about his current health status while stuck in an unnamed hospital.
McDermott gave himself a time out by sharing on Instagram a shirtless photo of him hooked to monitoring wires and breathing tubes while smiling for the camera and giving a thumbs up.
The father-of-five revealed in the caption that he is undergoing treatment for Pneumonia and possibly meningitis.
He admitted that this was the first time he had gotten so sick in his life, and captioned the image, “Thumbs up and spirit up.”
McDermott also used the opportunity to promote his podcast “Daddy Issues,” revealing the guest on the next episode to be Perez Hilton, and he asked his fans to make sure they tune in.
The fans were happy to oblige him and took to the comment section to show their support. They replied with words like “Sending you love,” “Hang in there bud,” and “Sending you lots of prayers for a quick recovery.”
Before revealing the Pneumonia, the podcast host shared in another Instagram post that he injured his back while trying to pick up a towel from the floor, and at the time, he had been in bed for two days.
In the same post, McDermott informed his fans that he had a fever of 102° citing his son, 6-year-old Finn, as the one who gave him the fever bug. The “Chopped Canada” host equally predicted that when he is old and can’t do something for himself, he would be quite challenging to please.
The fever also prevented the media personality from traveling to Vancouver with his children to visit Spelling who is on set there filming the reboot of “Beverly Hills: 90210.”
The couple shares four other children aside from Finn, between the ages of twelve and two, and the “Daddy Issues” host has a son, 20-year-old Jack, from his first marriage.
McDermott married Spelling in 2006, and in an episode of the podcast he co-hosts with Adam Hunter and Nicky Paris, he spoke about cheating on the actress.
The podcast star chalked it down to not loving himself, and his father's inability to teach him right from wrong. The host admitted that his actions were terrible, but he is grateful that his marriage survived and is in a better place.
McDermott is still in the hospital and will update his fans on his health status via social media.
