STRAHAN BEEFS UP HIS LINEUP OF SHOWS

Strahan debuted as host of the “The 100,000 Pyramid” this summer. This adds a new layer to his diverse hosting resume which includes the third hour of “Good Morning America” called “Strahan and Sara,” “Thursday Night Football,” and his sports commentary on “Fox NFL Sunday.” For the second year in a row, he’ll also be executive producing and hosting Nickelodeon’s “Kid’s Sports Choice Awards.”

His prominence in the small screen reminds us a lot of Harvey who up until recently had been juggling three television shows.

HARVEY'S TELEVISION CAREER TAKES TWO HITS

Harvey took a hit when his daytime talk show, “Steve” was canceled to give way to “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” The comedian aired his final episode this week with the hope that an exciting new chapter awaits him after.

Coinciding with the end of his 7-year-program, Harvey was replaced by Melissa McCarthy as host of “Little Big Shots.” This leaves him with one remaining hosting gig on air, “Family Feud.”

Much like Harvey too, Strahan has a diverse mix of programs catering to a wide range of audiences. He has a morning show, a game show, and even dabbles in a show dedicated for kids, the same mix Harvey had.

STRAHAN WALKS HARVEY'S PATH

Strahan may not have been the cause of Harvey’s gradual exit from television but he’s certainly filling in the comedian’s shoes in more ways than one. Like Harvey, Strahan’s hosting skills seem to impress a lot of producers who are banking on his talent for their shows.

Strahan has been vocal about pushing himself in his career to leave no room for doubt. Speaking to Entrepreneur magazine in January, he said he always gives himself “a chance to compete and to be successful.” His reasoning - if you don’t try, “you never know what you can do, and you’ll sit at home and wonder.”

As Strahan continues to shine on the small screen, we wonder what’s up ahead for Harvey who still has a lot to give to his audience.
