Ron Howard’s Handsome Son Reed Looks Exactly like Dad Did in His Youth

Ron Howard’s son, Reed, looks like a spitting image of his father’s younger self after inheriting his ginger genes and good looks.

“Happy Days’” ginger head star, Ron Howard, has a son who looks just like him, taking after his ginger hair. According to his Instagram, Reed Howard is a “professional golfer” and “creator of Steadhead Training Aid.”

Although there is not much information on Reed, it is known that he chose a career path far from his father’s as he works closely with golfers and promotes a new tool used in the sport. Most of his posts on social media are also related to his beloved sport.

Reed is Howard’s son with his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, with whom he shares three other children with -- Bryce Dallas, Paige, and Jocelyn. The Oscar winner has always been open about his love for Cheryl and their strong marriage that lasted years.

“I met her, and there was never anybody else,” Howard shared in an interview with People.

According to the couple, communication is key to having a strong relationship. “Communicate and have difficult conversations in constructive ways,” Howard advised. He added that Cheryl has always been supportive of him, especially in his career.

Howard’s parents, Jean and Rance, were actors as well; in fact, he made his on-screen debut with his father in 1956’s western, “Frontier Woman.” He has been acting from then on.

In 1960, his career heightened as he played Opie on “The Andy Griffith Show” and appeared again in “The Music Man.” From 1974 to 1984, he starred in the sitcom “Happy Days” where he played Richie Cunningham and directed a couple of episodes.

Later in his life, Howard founded the production company, Imagine Entertainment, with his partner Brian Grazer, which produced “Kindergarten Cop” and “My Girl.” He continued to direct other films and in 2002 won an Oscar for Best Director for the movie “A Beautiful Mind.”

Today, he is a well known and highly respected Hollywood filmmaker having 89 acting roles, 95, producer credits, and 46 director credits. In addition to his long list of works, Howard bagged a total of 39 awards and 74 nominations.
