Anna Duggar Shares a Heartbreaking Post after Sister Joy-Anna Miscarries
Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth revealed through social media the devastating news of having lost their second baby after suffering a miscarriage.
The Counting On star and husband confirmed the crushing news posting on Wednesday night a black and white picture of Joy-Anna in a hospital bed, with her husband leaning his head against hers.
The 21-year-old was expecting her second child with husband Austin Forsyth, but after reaching week 20 doctors found that the baby’s heart wasn’t beating. Joy-Anna and Austin revealed the baby was a girl they have named Annabell Elise.
"Today marks one week since we heard these words...'So this is your baby's heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don't hear a heartbeat or see any movement,'" the young couple wrote. "We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl."
This tragic event has brought a shadow of sadness to the family, but both young parents have stayed strong together and comforting each other through this difficult time.
"Although we don't understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord," they wrote.
Many family members and fans also shared their own stories of having lost a baby due to miscarriage. Anna Duggar, wife of Josh Duggar, suffered the same with her first child and posted a heartfelt message to the couple after learning about their loss.
"Austin and Joy we love you both so much and my heart aches for your loss, we look forward to meeting Annabell Elise one day in heaven," wrote Anna.
Joy-Anna and Austin have already a 1-year-old son named Gideon, both announced in May that they were expecting a second baby. Fortunately, the young couple can lean on their religious beliefs to find peace and calm in their hearts.
"Annabell means 'God has favored me', and Elise means 'God satisfies'. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus." said Joy-Anna.
Just a month after Mary Duggar’s passing, the Duggar family took to their official Instagram to share the pain of losing yet another family member and sympathized with the young couple at their time of despair.
