Salesman Tries to Sell Elderly Lady a Vacuum Cleaner

The home of elderly women from Texas may not be a good choice for a salesman to make a pitch. This was indeed discovered by a salesman who knocked an elderly Texas woman’s door in a bid to sell his vacuum cleaner.

A salesman was in Texas and advertising his vacuum cleaner for sale. He knocked on the door of an older woman, when she opened, the well-dressed salesman pleaded with her to give him some time to demonstrate the workings of his high-powered vacuum cleaners, which, according to him, were from California.

The woman responded by telling the salesman to go away as she didn’t have any money to spend on such things. She then made to close the door, but the salesman wasn’t giving up either, he quickly used his foot to hold the door and then opened it.

He asked her not to be too quick, and at least wait to see his demonstration. That said, the eager salesman emptied a bucket of horse manure on the carpet.

He then told the woman that if his vacuum cleaner failed to remove all the traces of the horse manure on the carpet, that he would personally eat the remainder. He further went on to cross his heart to show how much he meant to keep his promise.

The elderly woman then stepped back and asked the salesman to hold on for a moment. She then proceeded to get a spoon. She handed him the spoon and then told him that she hoped he had a good appetite as her power supply was cut off that morning.
