TIA OPENS UP ABOUT BED-SHARING

It isn’t uncommon for parents to indulge their children in some cuddle time at night. Studies reveal 28% of parents often bed-shared with their babies. Tia is one of those mothers who nurture her child during sleep and proudly says she did this with her eldest for four years.

In an interview with People Now, Tia made no apologies for choosing to share a bed with her husband, Cory Hardrict and their son, Cree.

For the “Sister, Sister” alum, it was a toss-up between stressing her child and allowing him to sleep comfortably. Naturally, her mother instinct decided on the latter.

“My son was in our bed until he was 4," she revealed. She also divulged that her mother frowned upon it insisting she let her son cry himself to sleep in his own crib, but Tia refused. Her reason, “I don't want my baby to have any sign of stress whatsoever. You know?"

Tia shares that Cree has his own bed now but suggests “other areas” where she and Cory could be intimate.

SHE SAYS SHE AND HER HUSBAND "FIND WAYS"

Probably one of the main reasons why bed-sharing is advisable is the effect it brings to the parents who would appear to sacrifice their alone time because of it. But Tia says, this hasn’t been a problem for her and Cory.

“My husband's fine with it,” she declared. As for how they manage to sneak in some alone time, the actress disclosed, “We find ways.”

Tia said it took her a while to open up to the idea of becoming a mother because like most women these days, she had goals and dreams to fulfill.

SHE WAITED A WHILE BEFORE HAVING KIDS

Tia has been very open about a lot of aspects in her life including why she waited until her 30s to have kids. She was literally pumping milk on the set of her show, “Family Reunion” when Netflix’s “Pump and Dump” dropped in to discuss motherhood with her.

She said it took her a while to open up to the idea of becoming a mother because like most women these days, she had goals and dreams to fulfill. Once Tia got them out of the way, she knew she would be able to focus more on her children.

SHE IS QUITE THE SUPERMOM

Tia is now a mother of two. Her daughter, Cairo still demands a lot of attention from her.

This shouldn’t be a problem for the TV personality who seems to be juggling motherhood and work just fine. She even managed to throw Cairo a Bohemian-themed 1st birthday party in May 2019. That’s quite a supermom right there.
