Wendy Williams’ Son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s Assault Case Against Dad Dismissed
Two months after he reportedly punched his father in the face, Kevin Hunter Jr. walked out of the courthouse free of charges after a case filed against him was dismissed.
We somehow knew this would happen. The moment Kevin Hunter, Sr. decided not to press charges against his son after taking a hit from him during a parking lot altercation, it would only be a matter of time before charges were dropped.
HE PLED NOT GUILTY LAST MONTH
Last month, Kevin Hunter Jr. showed up in court sans his parents and pled not guilty to assault. Wendy and Kevin Sr. showed solidarity by waiting together in a vehicle outside the courthouse.
HIS CASE WAS DISMISSED ON TUESDAY
On Tuesday, Kevin Sr. joined his son in court and supported prosecutors’ decision to discontinue the pursuance of charges. In fact, father and son were a picture of a happy family as described by Kevin Jr.’s lawyer, Raymond Hamlin.
“They are laughing, talking and reminiscing. Their relationship is solid,” he told TMZ.
In a heavily redacted report released by the West Orange Police Department, it revealed that their verbal exchange escalated when one of them referred to someone as a b***.
FATHER AND SON KEPT THEIR SILENCE AFTER THE DISMISSAL
The same publication caught up with the family as they left the courthouse and inquired about the case being dismissed. Hamlin spoke for the father and son who remained silent while walking away from the courthouse. "Everyone's great," Hamlin assured the reporter. "Glad to get it past them," he added.
WENDY WAS BUSY WITH HER SHOW
Wendy was not at the hearing due to her commitments to her talk show but we’re certain she was elated by the decision. She’s been dedicated to seeing her son through the obstacle even if it meant closing the gap between herself and her estranged husband in the midst of their divorce.

Things got muddy between the two Kevins in May after getting into a heated discussion in a parking lot. KEVIN SR. DIDN'T PRESS CHARGES
Kevin Sr. admitted wrestling with his son after but denied laying a hand on him. He also refused to cooperate with the investigation after the incident and turned down offers to have photos of his injuries taken. It was a clear sign he was going to let it slide and wouldn’t allow his son to be charged.
