Cameron Boyce’s father shared the last photo ever taken of his son on Instagram along with a heartbreaking message.
Victor Boyce, the father of the recently deceased Disney star Cameron Boyce, shared the last photo ever taken of the young actor just hours before his untimely death.
Instagram's response was overwhelming with over 800,000 likes, and loving messages to the grieving family.
“My son. Just hours before he was snatched from our lives. I miss him terribly. I hope that no one ever has to feel the agony I’m feeling" Victor Boyce
The sweet snap Victor shared shows the young actor sitting at a table in an outdoor restaurant, with his chin resting on his hand.
Although Cameron's mouth is half hidden, an unmistakable smile lights up his mischievous features.
Cameron's fans and friends were shattered by the news that the 20-year-old had passed away during his sleep on July 6, 2019, the victim of a seizure.
The family later revealed that Cameron suffered from epilepsy.
The Boyce family has been inundated with condolences and prayers, and stars and celebrities have posted heartfelt tributes to the talented young man they all admired and loved.
"I love you, Victor. I love you, Libby. I love you, Maya. And I will ALWAYS remember your beautiful son, Cam.” Melanie Paxson
“Hey Victor, Cameron is our Forever Boy. We will carry his goodness forward with us every day of our lives. Look up, he is there! You are not alone.” Kenny Ortega
“I love you and your whole family so much and forever. There was life before this, and now life after this. My thoughts have not left you and they will stay with you.” Dove Cameron
Former First Lady, Michelle Obama also paid tribute to the young actor in a post on Instagram.
Michelle shared a throwback photo of herself and Cameron, whom she had met on several occasions and considered a friend.
"I was lucky enough to share a few moments with Cameron Boyce—on set, at the White House, and on a service project—enough time to recognize that not only did he have incredible talent, but also an incredible heart. Sending out a lot of love and hugs to his family, friends, and his many, many fans," she wrote.
Our hearts go out to the Boyce family in their moment of sorrow, and all our prayers are for Cameron, and his beautiful soul.
Cameron Boyce first became a child star for his role in the Disney Channel's series "Jessie," and he left his mark on that organization.
Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Channel, paid tribute to Cameron and sharing a glimpse of the boy being the actor.
“His generosity of spirit, his joyful embrace of all life has to offer, and his unwavering commitment to social justice were only a few of the traits that made us all fall in love with him (...) Cameron has been a humble and hilarious presence in our lives — and the lives of tens of millions of kids — for nearly half of his 20 years,” he wrote.
We are going to miss you, Cameron. R.I.P.
