Michael J Fox Pays Tribute to Wife Tracy Pollan on Their 31st Wedding Anniversary
Michael J. Fox celebrated his 31st anniversary with his wife, Tracy Pollan, through a sweet Instagram post which she replied to in the comment section: “love you forever and 31 more.”
Who would have guessed that after meeting on the show “Family Ties,” Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan would later form a family of their own? And years later would be celebrating their 31st anniversary together.
31 YEARS OF LOVE
The actor took to Instagram to greet his wife and express his undying love with his “forever” as he posted a photo of them leaned toward each other while smiling at the camera. He captioned the post:
“The first 31 of forever. Love my girl @tracy.pollan.” To which she replied: “Love you forever and 31 more.”
Similarly, Pollan greeted her husband with Instagram throwback photos of their younger years and another of more recent one against a scenic background. She captioned the post:
“Happy anniversary to the love of my life then and now.” To which he also replied: “Lucky in love.”
Without the public's knowledge of his uncontrollable illness, Fox filmed for the hit television show “Spin City” until the 100th episode where he had to bid his acting career goodbye.
THEIR LOVE STORY
During the time they worked together in “Family Ties,” both stars had relationships of their own to other people. However, they were always fond of each other’s company and got along well.
Fox and Pollan reportedly took their friendship up a notch during the filming of the movie “Bright Lights, Big City.” Seven months after dating, on December 26, 1987, the “Back to the Future” star proposed and Pollan said yes.
“I wasn’t really worried that she would say no,” Fox remembered. “The toughest part was trying to figure out when to get married, and then to figure out how nobody else could know about it.”
In 1989, the Hollywood couple had their first child, a son who they named Sam Michael Fox. The actor shared that during his wife’s pregnancy, they would place headphones on Pollan’s tummy and play music for the baby.
BATTLING PARKINSON’S
While filming “Doc Hollywood,” Fox started to notice a muscle twitch here and there, which he later discovered to be the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. The actor kept the diagnosis a secret and carried on with his job.
Without the public's knowledge of his uncontrollable illness, Fox filmed for the hit television show “Spin City” until the 100th episode where he had to bid his acting career goodbye.
“I took seven years between when I was diagnosed and when I went public with it. So, I took a long, selfish period of time when I just dealt with how it affected me and was concerned with me, and accent on me, Fox revealed.
