For the "ER" actor whose career has unfolded in public, moments like this are usually kept private. On a night meant to spotlight a television return, attention briefly shifted to something more personal.

Marking Milestones

Noah shares Owen and Auden with his ex-wife, Tracy Warbin, and has a younger daughter, Frances Harper Wyle, with Sara. The couple welcomed Frances in 2015, with a spokesperson saying both mother and daughter are well and describing Noah at the time as being "over the moon."

The actor has consistently used social media to mark milestones in his children's lives. In November 2024, he celebrated Owen's birthday with the message, "22 years ago you showed up bringing purpose and meaning to my life- revealing how beautiful the world can be. For those gifts and a million more I'm grateful to be your Dad. Happy Birthday, Owen. I love you. Xo."

He shared a literary tribute for Auden's birthday, "'I'll love you, Dear I'll love you- Til China and Africa meet- and the river jumps over the mountain- And the salmon sing in the street."

"I'll love you til the ocean- Is folded up and hung to dry-And the seven stars go squawking- Like geese about the sky- The years shall run like rabbits- For in my arms I hold- The Flower of the Ages- And the first love of the World.' W.H Auden. Happy birthday to my Auden xoxo Dad," the post continued.

What His Kids Are Watching

In a recent People interview, Noah said his children have watched more "Grey's Anatomy" than "ER," despite his 12-season run on the NBC medical drama.

"Neither one of my older kids have watched. They've watched more Grey's Anatomy than they have ER. It's a point of contention," he said.

He added that they are currently watching "The Pitt," the Max original series in which he returns to the medical television genre as Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch.

"However, the older they get and the more they seem interested in this business, the more I kind of want to hold that up as something that they might want to engage in. But you know, they're watching "The Pitt,"" he said.

While the evening celebrated the return of "The Pitt" for a second season, it offered a glimpse of a rarely seen side of Noah. Surrounded by his family rather than co-stars, the moment reflected not just a career milestone, but the personal relationships that continue to shape how and why he shows up.
