US Weekly: Prince George Asked for a Pair of Binoculars and an Electric Car for His Birthday
Prince George approached his 6th birthday on Monday, 22 July, and was certain about the gifts he wanted; a pair of binoculars for him to birdwatch efficiently as well as an electric kids' car.
Prince George received homemade cards from his sister, Princess Charlotte, 4, and his brother, Prince Louis, 15 months, for his 6th birthday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, took to Instagram to wish their nephew George, saying,
“Happy birthday! Wishing you a very special day and lots of love!
Prince William and Duchess Kate released three new portraits of their son which also showcased his missing tooth on Instagram, thanking royal fans. The caption read,
“Happy birthday Prince George!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share new photographs of Prince George to mark His Royal Highness’s sixth birthday… Thank you to everyone for all your lovely messages!”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ensured that their firstborn son had an unforgettable birthday party on the weekend.
The Kensington Palace function had all of George’s favorite foods: pizza, pasta, sliders, cupcakes, an ice cream machine, and candy. In attendance were George’s closest school mates.
Prince George had reportedly requested a pair of binoculars for birdwatching as well as an electric kids' car for his birthday.
The second round of festivities will reportedly place on the private tropical island of Mustique. The royal family shares a connection with the island.
The Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, used it as a haven during the tribulations she experienced in her marriage to Anthony Armstrong-Jones in the 1970s.
Princess Margaret was then gifted a 10-acre parcel by the private island’s owner at the time, Colin Tennant. She built her vacation home there, naming it Les Jolies Eaux translating to “the beautiful waters.”
The island has since become a haven for several members of the royal family for them to enjoy their privacy peacefully.
George’s summer has entailed him joining his siblings and 2-month-old cousin, Archie, on Archie’s first public playdate earlier this month.
George also joined his sister Charlotte at a local festival in Berkshire, supervised by their grandparents, Carole, and Michael Middleton.
George is set to return to school at Thomas’ Battersea in the fall where he will be joined by his sister, Charlotte.
