Cardi B Raises Concern after Posting Then Deleting ‘Wish I Was Dead’ Tweet
Cardi B had fans worried after tweeting “wish I was dead” and deleting it moments later. The rapper has not directly addressed the tweet but has been going through some rough patches in the last couple of months.
Eagle-eyed Cardi fans caught the troubling tweet on Sunday morning and wasted no time raising the alarm.
One Twitter user @aali_johnston took to the platform to ask:
“Yo did anyone else just see @iamcardib tweet ‘wish I was dead’? Girl are you ok???”
What made the “wish” even more puzzling is that the rapper’s previous tweets were of a cheerful tone. Only a day before, she tweeted: “I’m so blessed.”
SUPPORT FOR CARDI
In no time, a fan page had asked for Cardi supporters to send her words of support using the hashtag #WeLoveYouCardi.
“Cardi is an incredibly talented woman who deserves the best in the world,” a Jennifer Lopez fan page tweeted. “JLo and the JLovers love you, Cardi.”
Another fan penned an emotional note to thank the "I Like It" rapper for being an inspiration.
“I see how you've made a distinguished career even though people looked down upon you at first. This just keeps me inspired and helps me convert the negatives minds about me from people to positives; And just like you, I benefit. I love you so much.”
THE RAPPER'S RESPONSE
Cardi, 26, did not comment directly about the troubling tweet but appeared to acknowledge the outpour of support from her fans with a family photo she captioned: “Thank You.”
The past couple of months have been quite challenging for the Bronx native.
HEALTH CHALLENGES
In May, she had to postpone several performances due to complications from recent liposuction and breast augmentation procedures. Cardi earlier opened up to fans about having surgery to get her post-baby body following the birth of daughter Kulture in July 2018.
"Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work, she didn't take the time necessary to fully recover from her surgery,” a rep confirmed. “Her strenuous schedule has taken a toll on her body, and she has been given strict doctors orders to pull out of the rest of her performances in May.”
TROUBLE WITH THE LAW
The rapper has also been facing a legal battle following her involvement in a brawl at a New York strip club last August. Last month, Cardi was indicted on multiple charges including attempted assault, and if found guilty, faces up to four years in prison.
Probably in a bid to avoid getting into more trouble with the law, Cardi lashed out a few days ago at claims that she’s a rapist amid growing calls for her to be punished.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
The agitation came up after an old video surfaced of Cardi recounting her experiences as a stripper and admitting to drugging and robbing some of her clients.
Cardi took to Instagram Live last week to shut down the “racist” label that was beginning to gain traction on social media. She admitted robbing her male clients but denied sexually assaulting anyone.
All of these challenges may have gotten to the rapper, hence the "wish for death" tweet, but we sure hope Cardi is doing better now.
