Father of nine Ginuwine surprises his daughter on her 18th birthday and it was a sweet, tearful moment captured on video. Their emotional hug will drive you to tears.

With nine kids in total, we can imagine it’s difficult for Ginuwine to give the amount of attention each one needs. However, the devoted father makes an effort to be there when it matters and whenever he shows up, he makes a lasting impression.

This was the case when the 48-year-old singer surprised his daughter, Story on her 18thbirthday. He dropped in on her for an unexpected visit and it drove her to tears.

A SWEET SURPRISE

The sweet hug Story and her father shared after she discovered he was hiding behind their home was a special moment captured on video. Story ran to her father and he lifted her like she was still five. She held on to him with her feet wrapped around his body and her arms around his neck. It was clear she missed him and so did he.

Father and daughter remained that way for quite a while. Story was emotional, in tears as she relished the opportunity to hug her father. Ginuwine obliged, rocking them from side to side during their extended embrace. What a sweet reunion it was.

Story and Dream are the singer’s children with his ex-wife Solé. They were married from 2003 to 2015 though they met in 1999 and had their daughters in 2001 and 2002.

Images from the visit were also shared by Ginuwine along with the clip. In one photo, Story and her younger sister, Dream are seen hugging their father at the same time. There was clearly no love lost between them despite living apart.

Ginuwine informs his Instagram followers that he makes it a point to visit his kids once a month and surprise them when he can. “It’s always something I look forward to,” he writes. “…because of the love they have for there dad.”

NOT JUST A FATHER BUT A STAND-OUT STEPDAD

Story and Dream are the singer’s children with his ex-wife Solé. They were married from 2003 to 2015 though they met in 1999 and had their daughters in 2001 and 2002. Before their marriage, Solé already had two daughters, De’jan and Cypress, who Ginuwine treats as his own. In fact, he stood as the father-of-the-bride when he gave De’jan away during her 2017 wedding.

NINE IS NOT ENOUGH

Apart from the children he shares with Solé, Genuwine sired a son named after him, Elgin along with three other daughters and one son whose date of births have not been divulged to the media.

In 2017, Ginuwine shared a throwback photo of all his nine children, revealing his two daughters with Sole to be the youngest. Ginuwine revealed in his caption that they are “the reason I live.” He also says he wants one more.

True to his name, the “Celebrity Big Brother” star’s love for his children is genuine and we can’t help but salute his efforts to be there for them every chance he gets.
