Cardi B took to Instagram to share her disappointment with fans after revealing that she missed her daughter’s first steps.

The rapper recently celebrated Kulture’s 1st birthday with a lavish party, and she can’t stop gushing about how fast her baby is growing up.

Cardi B is currently in the middle of a nationwide tour, and although she takes her daughter to work from time to time, traveling that much can be tiresome for a toddler. So, when the “Money” rapper took off for Nebraska, she left Kulture under aunt Hennessy’s care.

But as she was away, Kulture took her first steps, and Cardi missed it.

A DISAPPOINTING MOMENT

The 26-year-old took to Instagram after the concert to share her disappointment with fans, explaining that she was in the middle of a meet and greet when Hennessy called her. Cardi picked up but only to say she was busy and tell her sister she would call back later.

Later it was Offset—Cardi’s husband and Kulture’s father— who called, and Cardi told him to call Hennessy to see what was going on.

According to Cardi, Offset was in a video call with Hennessy and Kulture when the girl took her first two steps, and he was able to witness it, even from a distance.

“He witnessed my baby’s first two steps. He always witnesses the good [expletive]!" Cardi exclaimed, before emotionally reflecting on how fast Kulture is growing up. "My baby is starting to walk already. I can't take it. I can't take it!" she said.

KULTURE’S FIRST BIRTHDAY

Although Cardi and Offset have to leave Kulture behind because of their busy schedules, they always make the best of their time with the adorable girl whenever they have it.

Last month, they celebrated Kulture’s 1st birthday with a lavish Word Party-themed birthday bash in New York City.

"It’s crazy how God not only gives you a kid that looks like you but with the same energy and personality." - Cardi B.

And although the event was affected by the general blackout that took the city by surprise that day, the guests made sure to keep the energy alive and give Kulture the celebration she deserved, something that Cardi later said she was grateful for.

The Grammy Award winner also shared an adorable photo of her midnight celebration with Kulture, which included colorful cupcakes, a balloon arrangement, and Kulture smashing some frosting on her face.

LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER

Earlier this month, Cardi also shared an adorable video of Kulture resting on a baby chair while playing around with one of her cousins.

The toddler showed off her burst of energy, and some dance moves to the tune of “Baby Shark,” and Cardi explained in her caption how much Kulture is already taking after her.

“It’s crazy how God not only gives you a kid that looks like you but with the same energy and personality,” Cardi B captioned the clip. “My baby is naturally hype, slick, and funny. And ok yea a little attitude too but I’m putting that part on her dad.”

The “I Like It” rapper told W Magazine that she’s naturally confident in herself and she wants to instill that same confidence in her daughter. She said:

“I don’t feel like I’m the prettiest girl in the room. I don’t feel like I look any type of special. But I guess it’s my personality, the way I walk in and smile, the way I talk.”

And continued: “I want my daughter to feel like she’s that woman. I’m not going to say ‘that b***h’—but I want her to feel like that person.”
