PRESLEY IS POISED FOR TELL-ALL
Page Six exclusively disclosed that the book which Presley sold to Gallery Books for an estimated $3 to $4 million “promises shocking revelations,” according to its source.
It will shed more light about the late King of Pop and give fans newfound understanding of the King of Rock N’ Roll.
Presley attributed her addiction to the losses in her life beginning with her father who died when she was nine and Jackson who died in 2009. Both men were also addicted to drugs.
HER PREVIOUS PRONOUNCEMENTS ABOUT JACKSON
Presley secretly wed Jackson in 1994 shocking the world with their unlikely pairing. In 2010, the 51-year-old revealed to Oprah Winfrey their marriage came to an end after two years because Jackson chose “drugs and the sort of vampires” over her. “He pushed me away,” she said of Jackson’s decision.
“I believe he didn’t do anything wrong,” she told Diane Sawyer in 1995. “And yes, I started falling for him.”
Presley’s book appears to have been timed perfectly coming in the heels of the destruction “Leaving Neverland” created in its path.
The HBO documentary painted a sour picture of Jackson who was accused by two of his former Neverland frequenters, James Safechuck and Wade Robson of engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with them when they were young boys.
Presley kept mum about the controversy even after defending Jackson during their marriage by saying he was “wrongly accused” after he first went to trial in 1993 for allegedly molesting Jordan Chandler.
“I believe he didn’t do anything wrong,” she told Diane Sawyer in 1995. “And yes, I started falling for him.”
It’s unclear as of now what details about Jackson she’ll be sharing in her book but it’s bound to gain mileage with fans wanting to know more about the very private relationship of Presley and Jackson which she once described to Winfrey as “a normal marriage.”
COPING WITH HER FATHER'S LOSS THROUGH DRUG ADDICTION
Meanwhile, Presley is also expected to present an account of her father from a new perspective in her upcoming book. Though she is Elvis’ only heir being his sole child, Lisa’s life went through a lot of rough patches. She battled drug addiction for years, suffered huge financial losses and went through four failed marriages including Jackson’s.
