What Happened to Mama June’s Estranged Daughter Anna Cardwell

June Shannon, best known as “Mama June,” rose to fame thanks to the TLC series “Toddlers & Tiaras” and “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

Unfortunately, when she started dating Geno Doak (who has a criminal record), she began to get involved in some legal issues, including getting arrested for drug possession in March 2019.

Although June’s behavior has deteriorated her relationship with her four daughters, Anna’s case is the worst as they have not been in speaking terms for several years already.

ANNA BEING SEXUALLY ASSAULTED

Born in August 1994, Anna, also known as “Chickadee,” is the eldest daughter of June. Their relationship has been uncommon ever since she was born. Due to the fact that June gave birth to Anna at 15 years of age, she considered placing her up for adoption.

However, the paperwork to do so was never finalized, and June kept her daughter. While Anna was in June’s custody, she was sexually abused by her mother’s then-boyfriend Mark McDaniel.

One of the main reasons June and Anna have had an estranged relationship is that June defended McDaniel when Anna accused him of sexually assaulting her.

THE MYSTERY BEHIND HER FIRST DAUGHTER’S FATHER

Just as her mother, Anna got pregnant as a teenager in 2012 and named her daughter Kaitlyn Clark.

Even though Anna has never publicly identified Kaitlyn’s father, the fact that her last name is Clark suggests that her father is Caleb Clark, Anna's former boyfriend.

JUNE REPORTEDLY STOLE MONEY FROM ANNA

Apart from that, Anna claims that her mother stole thousands of dollars out of her trust fund, leaving her with nothing but $18 in her savings account.

Since she needed money, Anna partnered up with Young Living to promote what they claimed to be the cure to Ebola and cancer. Unfortunately for the former TV reality star, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) forced them to stop selling the product, stating that their claims were false.

ANNA’S THOUGHTS ON JUNE’S WEIGHT-LOSS JOURNEY

In recent years, June surprised the world when she appeared on her new TV reality show “Mama June: From Not to Hot.” Compared to her time on “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” June looked a lot thinner.

The change in her body was so evident that it made people wonder whether she did it for health reasons or just to get more money and fame out of it.

During a conversation with E! News, Anna revealed what she believed was the real reason June lost all that weight:

"I think she did it just to be more famous. I don't think she did it just for her because she never mentioned anything ever before about getting plastic surgery."

Anna also pointed out the June's manager played an important role in her decision, adding that she was also offered to get a surgery and lose weight to "get out there" and have the opportunity to get more fame.

“Mama June’s” eldest daughter also said that, if her mother had wanted to lose weight for health reasons, she would have tried to do so a long time ago.

HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER SISTERS

During the same interview, Anna revealed that she was not in speaking terms with her sisters Alana (“Honey Boo Boo”), Lauryn (“Pumpkin”), and Jessica (“Chubbs”).

She admitted that, at that point, none of them had called or texted her, pointing out that if they didn't care about her, there was no reason for her to care about them either.

"I mean, yeah, I care about them, they are my sisters...I may not love them like I am supposed to, but I mean, hell, they don't love me or care about me like they are supposed to," Anna told E! News.

HER ROMANTIC STATUS

At the moment, Anna is focused on herself and, thankfully, she has lost some weight. Apart from taking care of her two children, Kaitlyn and Kylee, Anna is dating Eldridge Toney.

Even though she has not publicly spoken about him, she has uploaded several videos of her man on social media, proving the love they share.
