George W. Bush and Laura Bush Got Some Seafood Delivery from The Clam Shack on a Labor Day

The summer would have been a waste without some local seafood. Former President, George W. Bush, and first lady, Laura Bush were treated to a personal delivery by the local establishment, “The Clam Shack.”

The former President, 73, and the first lady, 72, enjoyed a personal delivery from "The Clam Shack" in Kennebunkport, Maine on Labor Day.

The establishment shared a picture of one of their employees besides the Bushes on their Facebook page on Monday.

"Special delivery to Walkers Point tonight!" they captioned the picture. The image featured the bushes, one of their employees holding out a plate of their fried seafood delicacies. "It was a great way to end the summer season."

Although The Clam Shack made a special delivery for the Bushes, the establishment only offers takeout and a peaceful outdoor seating that overlooks a river and boardwalk.

The Bushes weren't the only famous personalities to enjoy The Clam Shack's cuisine this summer, Luis Tiant, the famous Boston Red Sox pitcher, also visited the establishment.

He appeared to be enjoying the same sea food platter as the Bushes. Tiant even left the owner of The Clam Shack a copy of the hurler's new book.

The small eatery is known for its "award-winning fried food, traditional boiled lobster dinners and lobster rolls served on freshly baked buns from a local bakery." The eatery planted its roots back in 1968 and is a staple for the locals as well as tourists.

The Bush property in the locality was purchased by George H. W. Bush‘s maternal great-grandfather David Davis Walker and grandfather George Herbert "Bert" Walker.

The property has been used as a summer getaway by the family for over a century. While the family spent the summer there, the seafood treat on Monday concluded what can only be called a busy month for the Bush family.

In August, George and Laura’s daughter, Jenna Hager Bush, and her husband, Henry Hager, welcomed their first son and third child into the world.

George hopes to share his name with grandson

The newborn is named Henry "Hal" Harold Hager and joined his sisters Poppy Louise, 4, and Margaret "Mila" Laura, 6.

George and Laura had the opportunity to meet their grandson shortly after his firth. The former President shared the moment with all of his followers on Instagram with a series of heartwarming pictures.

"@laurawbush and I are thrilled to welcome Henry Harold Hager to our family. We are happy for the proud parents, @jennabhager and Henry. And pleased that Mila and Poppy have a little brother to love."

"We thank God that mom and baby are healthy, and we look forward to many years of loving the boy known as Hal." he wrote with a couple of adorable family shots.

Before the arrival of the bundle of joy, Jenna, George’s daughter, talked to "People" and admitted that her parents were excited beyond measure about the new addition to the family. She added that he also hoped to share the name with the newborn.

"They’re over the moon about it," Jenna told "People" about the excitement of the grandparents. "My dad keeps joking that we need to name him George."

In addition to having a grandchild, George is also excited to have a baby boy in the family. George is a father to twin daughters (Jenna and her sister Barbra Pierce Bush) along with two granddaughters.

"We had two girls. That’s all he’s ever known," she said. She added that while George has immense love for "our girls," it will "be nice for him to have a little fishing buddy as well."
