Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick Reveal a Beautiful Throwback Wedding Picture on Their 31st Anniversary

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick celebrated their 31st anniversary by taking a trip down memory lane with a throwback wedding photo.

In a world where marriages barely last the long haul, lovebirds Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have shown the world that forever is achievable.

Yesterday Kevin and Kyra celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary and to commemorate the special milestone the couple took to Instagram to exchange touching messages.

Kyra took fans down memory lane to share a sweet throwback photo from their wedding on September 4, 1988. The caption of the black-and-white photo read:

“Not sure how I was so smart at the clueless age of 23.... but I am eternally grateful I did one thing right! 31 years- I love you so! @kevinbacon”

The “Footloose” star was all love from his side as he uploaded a photo of them gazing lovingly at each other while on stage. Showing off his poetic side, Bacon wrote:

“31 years today. Harmony. Heartbeats in time. Switching leads. And happy to play backup. I love u @kikkosedg.”

When it seemed as though all of the show of love was over, Kevin stepped things up with a hand-drawn anniversary note and doodle artwork. The happy husband captioned the post:

“Coming home this beautiful work of art after a 12-hour trip is the antidote to jet lag @kikkosedg.”

To which the actress replied:

“OY… When they were handing out talent in the drawing dept… I was sorely neglected.”

Even after more than three decades together, Kevin and Kyra have managed to keep their union filled with humour and romance.

On June 4, the iconic couple attended the premiere of “City on a Hill”, and they weren’t afraid to engage in some steamy PDA on the red carpet, as reported by Closer Weekly.

Kevin and Kyra are in the habit of loving up to each other and flaunting it on social media and their 30th anniversary was no different.

As a result of their long-lasting marriage, many have asked Bacon about their secret to their union, but actor affirms that there is no such thing as a secret.

As revealed by Page Six, the 61-year-old said during the Showtime portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour,

“There is no secret. In fact, I’ve often had a couple of different one-liners for that answer, and then I decided that really the answer is I’m not going to answer it because the last thing I want to do is come up with some quote that is going to summarize a 30-year relationship you know?”

BACON AND SEDGWICK’S LOVE STORY

The lovebirds first met on the set of a movie adaption of “Lemon Sky.” However, Kyra didn’t think Bacon was her type. Luckily, he was able to sweep her off her feet, and they began dating. At the time she was just 12, and he was 17.

When she turned 23 and he 30, they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony. We wish the fantastic couple many more years together! They are an inspiration to us all!
