Terry Crews of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Says Kevin Hart Will 'Have to Rebuild His Life' after Violent Car Crash
Terry Crews is opening up about the impact of the severe injuries sustained in a horrific car crash by his friend and colleague Kevin Hart. Crews also lashed out at "some people" who were happy at Hart’s misfortune.
The month started on a sad note for Hart whose vehicle toppled off a California highway, but the comedian has the support of his Hollywood pals.

The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star added:
"It may be a little different for Kevin from here on out. I understand that. I feel that. He probably feels very alone right now."
SLAMMING THE HATERS
Crews didn’t mention names, but he confirmed that there were "some people" that were happy to hear Hart had been in an accident.
"It made no sense to me, but that’s human nature,” he explained before sending a message of support to the "Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle" star.
"I’m here to tell him, and that’s why I wanted to say, 'Hey, man. I’m here for you. I got your back,'" Crews said. "Believe me, most of Hollywood and most people I know are supporting Kevin; really, really pushing for his speedy recovery.
"Just get better, man. Don’t rush it," he added. "Come on back. We’re waiting for you."
THE ACCIDENT
Earlier in the week, Crews joined other celebrities in praying for Hart’s speedy recovery after news broke of his terrible accident.
Just before 1 am on the first day of the month, Hart was involved in a horrific crash with his vintage Plymouth Barracuda, the same car he gave himself as a 40th birthday present in July.
The “Night School” star was with two friends at the time of the accident – 28-year-old Jared Black, who was driving, and his fiancée, 31-year-old Rebecca Broxterman who is also a personal trainer for Hart’s wife, Eniko.
HEALTH CONDITION
Hart and Black reportedly sustained major injuries and had to be hospitalized. While the latter’s current condition is unknown, the comedian is said to have undergone surgery to correct three spinal fractures.
The medical procedure was successful, but Hart is reportedly still in a lot of pain and has weeks of extensive physical therapy to look forward to if he’s to make a full recovery.

911 EVIDENCE
Recently released 911 calls provide more details about the moments following the crash. In one call obtained by E! News, a witness told the operator the vehicle’s roof appeared to be crushed and the door smashed.
In a separate 911 call obtained by TODAY, an unidentified female calling from Hart’s residence (where he initially went following the accident) told the dispatcher, "I need someone to come get him."
"I don’t know what happened. He’s just here. He’s not coherent at all. He can’t move," the caller added before explaining that the incident occurred "20 minutes ago. … outside of our gated community."
ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
CBS News noted that Black was determined not to have been under the influence at the time of the crash, but investigators are reportedly looking into excessive speed as a probable cause.
In the meantime, Hart can rely on the support and assistance from Hollywood pals like his “Jumanji” co-star Dwayne Johnson. Johnson cut short his honeymoon to fill in for his injured friend who had been billed as the "first guest ever" on Kelly Clarkson’s new eponymous show.
HELP FROM COLLEAGUES
In a lighthearted tweet, Johnson explained:
“When my son [Kevin Hart] goes down with an injury, his big daddy steps in. I did leave my honeymoon early (Lauren [his wife] approved cos she LOVES Kelly) and now me and Kelly are new best friends. Tune in this Monday! We had the best time!”
Get well soon, Kevin Hart!
