Serena Williams and Husband Alexis Ohanian: Their Endearing Love Story

Before tennis star Serene Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian tied the knot, they were head over heels in love. Years later, their love has only aged like fine wine and the duo is inseparable.

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian first met four years ago, and it is surprising to see how they were able to squeeze in so much during that period.

From getting engaged to having a baby, the famous couple has come a long way since they met but their love story had a rather unconventional beginning.

IT ALL STARTED OUT UNCONVENTIONALLY

Williams and Ohanian first met at Rome Cavalieri hotel back in 2015. Williams was all set to play her first match in the Italian Open.

Williams and her friends were waiting for their breakfast by the pool area. Ohanian, who was a bit hungover after drinking with comedian Kristen Wiig the other night, sat down at a nearby table.

The Reddit co-founder was just sitting there minding his own business, but Williams' friend did not want him so close to them. So she went ahead and said that there was a rat scurrying around where Ohanian was seated.

To their surprise, he nonchalantly said: "I'm from Brooklyn. I see rats all the time."

Ohanian's answer blew Williams away and she invited him to join her, quite impressed.

IT ONLY GOT BETTER

Ohanian hadn't realized that the lady who had invited him to join her was a tennis ace. The duo hit it off right away and started dating.

The tech guru was head over heels in love with Williams. A year and a half later, he decided that it was time to take their relationship to the next level. He took Williams to the same place where they first met and asked her to marry him.

STILL GOING STRONG

Their love story might not have been a conventional one, but things worked out just fine. The couple is happily married with an adorable daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. who was born on September 1, 2017.
