In June 2014, rapper Ice-T's grandson, Elyjah Marrow, was put behind bars for accidentally shooting his roommate to death. His family recently welcomed him home as a free man, and shared photos on social media.

"I'M SO BLESSED AND THANKFUL TO HAVE MY SON @fgg_flyguy HOME!!!" LeTesha Marrow, his mother, captioned one post. "MY BABY FREE," she said in another.

The happy mom of Marrow revealed that their family would be celebrating his homecoming with a "welcome home function" for close friends and family. Followers of LeResha expressed their happiness over the good news on the comment section of the post.

Five years ago, 19-year-old Daryus Johnson was found lifeless at Bentley Manor Apartments in Marietta Georgia. Police who arrived at the scene rushed him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that then-20-year-old Marrow accidentally shot his roommate in the chest with a stolen gun. He was charged for many things apart from involuntary manslaughter, including possession of marijuana and theft.

"Marrow was not using proper firearms safety when handling the gun," Officer David Baldwin said. "That reckless handling of the firearm is what led to Johnson being accidentally shot and eventually killed."

According to the police, the marijuana, which weighed more than an ounce, was supposedly for monetary gain. The Cobb Country grand jury indicated Marrow on June 4th but was free on bail for a while.

Marrow's mother is Ice-T's first daughter with Adrianne, who they had while attending school. LeTesha is the current host and CEO of "T-Tea-V Behind the Scenes" and also works as an assistant director. She and her son have appeared on Ice-T's reality show "Ice Loves Coco."
