RHOA Alum Phaedra Parks Wishes Happy Birthday to Her New Man, OWN Network Actor Medina Islam

Phaedra Parks paid tribute to her new boyfriend, Medina Islam in a sweet birthday post. And while she had a few words to say, he replied with a charming message.

Phaedra Parks has definitely moved on from Apollo Nida into the arms of her new boyfriend, Medina Islam. As she greeted him on his birthday, the actor responded by thanking his “beautiful queen.”

THE START OF A BUDDING ROMANCE

Parks and Islam have been dating for a few months and they’re not shy to admit this.

Back in July, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star opened up about her newfound love after an unsuccessful attempt with the first following her divorce from Nida.

In the early part of this year, Parks was reported to be dating DJ Tone Kapone. But “that didn’t quite work out,” she told Daily Mail.

However, she added, “I found another guy that’s more suitable for me and I’m quite excited and happy about him.”

Parks was careful not to name names at the time but it didn’t take long for publications to figure out that the “suitable” man she was referring to was the “The Have and Have Nots” actor who also once dated "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum, Claudia Jordan.

They met through the dating app, Raya after Islam made the first move. In fact, he only joined the dating site because he found out Parks was in it.

A MUTUAL ADMIRATION FOR EACH OTHER

Islam is 10 years younger than Parks who's 45 but it’s a non-issue for the celebrity lawyer.

“He’s very smart, very intelligent. He’s kind, we are both socially active. He’s really sober and smart. He’s a great father,” Parks said of her new boyfriend though she didn’t have a lot to say when she greeted him on his birthday recently.

Sharing a sweet photo of the two of them and making their relationship Instagram-official, the reality star simply wrote, “#HappyBirthday @medinadidit.”

Meanwhile, Islam had the sweetest response.

“Thank u My Beautiful Queen,” he wrote on her comments section along with more than a dozen emojis.

AN ISSUE THEY NEED TO HASH OUT

According to TMZ, the couple is poised to appear on the next season of "Marriage Boot Camp" where they’ll be hashing out a few issues. One of these is the subject of Parks moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles to be closer to Islam.

There are reports suggesting she is considering the move and bringing her two sons with her. But the question remains if she should be taking the leap this early considering they’ve only been dating for several months.

It would be interesting to see how this relationship unfolds in and out of the show. We’re hoping Parks finally finds the happiness she deserves.
