HIS PLEA
TMZ reported that Dash filed new documents in court requesting to lower his financial support payments for his two children with ex-wife, Rachel Roy. Their eldest daughter Ava is 19, and it would seem that he should have stopped supporting her when she turned 18.
Dash has been forking $6,000 a month in total for their two daughters and an additional $3,700 a month for their younger daughter, Tallulah’s tuition. However, he claims to be earning less since 2018.
Dash was accused of failing to pay child support by both Roy and his other baby mama, Cindy Morales a few years back. A warrant for his arrest was issued.
He reported his earnings at a little over $56,000 a year and compared this to Roy’s $500,000. He cites Roy’s lavish lifestyle and trips as a reason to cut his obligations.
Furthermore, he’s demanding that Roy pay him back for some of the money he had given in the past.
Roy gained sole custody of their two children in 2015 and was later awarded a restraining order against Dash after claiming he had a history of domestic abuse.

HIS PREVIOUS COURT DATES
If you recall, Dash was accused of failing to pay child support by both Roy and his other baby mama, Cindy Morales a few years back. A warrant for his arrest was issued.
In March, the actor/record executive agreed to surrender to authorities if proven that he was remiss in his payments. He insisted he gave both women more than enough. He spent $150k for Morales’ home and pays Roy through the income he receives from their clothing company, Rachel Roy Collection.
In April, Dash was back in court to bar Roy and Morales from getting a cut from his settlement money from Lee Daniels. The settlement was a result of a $5 million lawsuit Dash filed against the film producer for not crediting him from a Richard Pryor film project.
HIS MARRIAGE TO ROY
Dash and Roy were married in 2005 and divorced in 2009. Roy gained sole custody of their two children in 2015 and was later awarded a restraining order against Dash after claiming he had a history of domestic abuse. She also accused him of becoming violent around their children due to drug and alcohol use and smoking marijuana in front of them.
In his defense, Dash insisted he did everything to rehabilitate himself.
