Princess Beatrice Reportedly Got Inspiration from Meghan Markle for Her Engagement Photos

Wedding bells are ringing again for the royal family following the announcement of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's engagement. Eagle-eyes fans noticed how similar Princess Beatrice's engagement photo looked to that of Meghan Markle's.

Princess Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are engaged! In a statement released on social media, the ecstatic couple wrote:

“We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married."

Ninth in line to the throne, Beatrice is the grand-daughter of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and the cousin of Prince William and Harry.

Her fiancé Edoardo is a property mogul who runs the property consultancy "Banda" which finds and develops lavish homes for its wealthy clients.

A LITTLE INSPIRATION FROM MEGHAN AND HARRY?

Following the announcement of Princess Beatrice's engagement, fans noticed some striking similarities between the official photographs from the engagement and the snapshots that were taken for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's engagement.

Princess Eugenie and photographer Misan Harriman took the pictures of Beatrice's engagements. Harriman's photos were all black and white, just like Meghan and Harry's photos which were shot by famous photographer and Polish Prince Alexi Lubomirski.

THE SAME LOCATION

Both the royal couples had their pictures taken with Windsor on the backdrop.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex picked Frogmore House for the shoot, Beatrice opted for Royal Lodge, her father's home.

THE SIMILAR POSE

Back in 2017, fans were blown away by the pictures of Meghan and Harry lovingly cozied up in one another's embrace.

Both Beatrice and Edoardo cozied up for a similar engagement shot.

According to the newly engaged couple's photographer Misan, it was his honor to "observe and document such love."

While details regarding the wedding are yet to be released, the wedding is set to take place next year.
