Singer J-Lo & Former Yankees Player A-Rod Have Engagement Party in LA before Their Upcoming Wedding

Jennifer Lopez and her sports star boyfriend, Alexander Rodriguez become the talk of the town as they threw an "over-the-top" party in honor of their upcoming wedding.

The world-famous entertainer only recently made news after starring in the newly released thriller, "Hustlers" but now, she tops headlines with the story of her lavish engagement party.

Just a few hours ago, J-Lo, as she is famously called, took to Instagram to share a series of snaps to commemorate the memorable event.

She shared an up-close view of her face done in sleek make-up and with her hair styled into a half parting. It is, however, the others that afford a better view of the event as they feature the talented singer and her lover.

Almost expectedly, J-Lo wore a white gown that was elaborately designed while her fiance wore a bespoke black suit and white shirt.

The snap is an intimate one as it features the beautiful pair sharing a full-on kiss with no care for the cameras.

The third picture is even more beautiful as the couple's daughters, products of their previous relationships, cuddle up to them at the event which reportedly held in the home of veteran singer Carole Bayer Sager on Friday to celebrate their engagement.

Rodriguez only recently popped the big question in March, but it appears that the wedding may be a lot closer as People reports that the Friday party was done "in honor of their upcoming trip down the aisle."

They also share that the couple's children from previous relationships will play a vital role in the upcoming ceremony. J-Lo is the mother of twin children, son Max and daughter Emma while Rodriguez shares daughters Ella Alexander, 11, and Natasha Alexander, 14, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

"For them both, they are still all about their family with the four kids. Their initial strong attraction for each other would have quickly faded if they had not been able to come together as a family," an insider told People.

The couple has, however, chosen to stay mum about their exact plans. The only little known is that the wedding will be some time "next year," it will be a "big" one and will most likely be held in a church.
