Retired NBA Star Magic Johnson's Wife Cookie Shares New Photos of Their 2 Sons on National Sons Day
In celebration of National Sons Day 2019, Cookie Johnson, who is Magic Johnson's wife of 28 years, shared images of her children.
Taking to Instagram, the 60-year-old shared two pictures of EJ and Andre posing with her at separate times.
In the first photo, Cookie and EJ strike a pose for the camera with the latter showing off his correctly done make-up.
Meanwhile, the second snapshot shows Elisha and his mom striking a pose in front of a banner showing a hairy palm. Besides giving the post more than a thousand likes, fans also commented on how similar Cookie and EJ look.
The similarity between the pair shouldn't be so surprising as Cookie is the biological mother of the reality star.
However, Andre is the product of Magic's relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Melissa Mitchell, as revealed by I Love Old School Music. As disclosed in the publication, Andre was born in 1981, 10 years before Cookie and Magic got married.
The circumstances surrounding Andre's birth did nothing to stop the close bond between him and his father. As it appears, the Johnsons are a perfectly blended family, even though the details of Andre's personal life are scarce.
The same doesn't apply to EJ, who is a familiar face both on-and-off- screen. The 27-year-old became openly gay after he came out in 2013, according to Heavy.
A media outlet released footage of the then 20-year-old holding hands with his best friend, Alessandro Monetti. The report caused EJ to come clean about his sexuality. Luckily, the confession and his sexuality did nothing to ruin his relationship with his father.

Today I’m 27 ! This has certainly been the most painful and difficult year of my life as well as one of great growth power strength and beauty. After losing the most important person in my life I wasn’t sure if I would be able to laugh smile or find joy again. But through all the darkness an uncertainty I put myself first. I found joy in searching my soul and nurturing my gifts and talents. I laughed with my friends and family who kept their hands on me during this process. I smiled when I had major personal breakthroughs and successes. I had to shed certain situations and people in order to get here but I’m better because of it. My acting coach @tasha4realsmith said recently “through our greatest pain comes our greatest work” and Im greatest work is soon to come. I’ve never felt more beautiful, powerful, intelligent, innovative, sexy, creative and comfortable in my own skin than i do today. So I hope everyone who reads this finds comfort and power in these words. Self exploration is one of most precious gifts you can receive and it’s never too late to start. NOW, if you’ll excuse me it’s for me to put on my crown and get to work 👸🏾 #teamthis
