Duchess Kate's Brother James Middleton Confirms Engagement to Alizee Thevenet & Shares Photo Showing the Ring

Kate Middleton's brother, James Middleton is engaged to his French girlfriend. He shared the news on social media with a picture of the engagement ring.

James Middleton, the brother of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is engaged lizee Thevenet. The groom-to-be took to his Instagram account to share the good news with his followers.

He shared a photo of himself and his wife-to-be taken at England's Lake District. The two beamed while leaning into each other, and Alizee rested her left hand on James' chest, showing off her huge sapphire ring.

In the accompanying caption, the Duchess of Cambridge's brother wrote in-between two heart-shaped emojis,

"She said oui," before adding, "Our secret is finally out, but we couldn't be happier to share the news."

James' followers reacted to the engagement news with congratulatory messages. One person wrote,

"I love love this pic. Many many congratulations you two."

While another commented,

"Very happy for both of you."

Before the couple made the news of their engagement public, the story had leaked among their close friends. James and Alizee met for the first time at a London bar and dated for ten months before getting engaged.

The two were first sighted as a couple back in December 2018 while attending the Henry Van Sbenzee Memorial Funds Christmas Carol Service at the St. Luke's church in London.

In January, Alizee joined her fiancé, and his sister, Pippa Middleton, and her husband, James Matthews, for a vacation in St. Barth's, and in May, she attended Wimbledon alongside her man and his family.

The bride-to-be is a London based financial analyst of French origin. She obtained her Masters in Investment and Finance from the Queen Mary University of London. As a child, Alizee lived in several countries, including Indonesia, Germany, Chile, France, Belgium, and England.

In addition to her native French, the London resident speaks Spanish and English. James' relationship with Alizee was kept away from the press for a long time, and now that everything's out in the open, they can't wait to start the next phase of their lives together.
