K Michelle Talks about Stripper past and Relationship with R Kelly, Compares Him to Elvis
K. Michelle recently got candid about her past as a stripper and gave her two cents on R. Kelly’s legal troubles stemming from several sexual abuse accusations.
K. Michelle has always been one to speak her mind whether or not it aligns with popular opinion, and when she stopped by the "Nick Cannon Morning Show" a few days ago, it was no different.

When the "I Just Can't Do This" singer recalled being brought up in the music industry by people like R. Kelly, Cannon seized the opportunity to ask what she thought about his recent travails.
"After the guy left me, or whatever, and got married at random at All-Star Weekend, I started dancing."
Kelly is currently facing multiple criminal charges, most of which border on sexual assault in Chicago, New York, and Minnesota. He is now in jail after being arrested in July on federal sex crime charges in Chicago.

K. MICHELLE ON R. KELLY
"I was standing in the booth as they was (sic) taking him into jail, and I was looking through the booth at the TV," K. Michelle recalled, adding:
"To be standing in the booth and to see that, I just lost it. That was a lot because I know right is right and wrong is wrong but, I don’t have a heaven or a hell to put this person in. We are not [the ones to judge]. I do know that if Elvis can pick up his wife at 14 from high school, all I want is the same energy."

THROWBACK TO ELVIS
K. Michelle was referring to the late Rock and Roll legend Elvis Presley who reportedly began a relationship with his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, when she was 14.
"I’m not gonna defend this man (R. Kelly). I know, for me, yes, he is a controlling man, but he would control my music," K. Michelle continued. "He would tell me 'you gonn' sit in here with the same clothes on until you finish this song because it needs to be amazing.'"

STRIPPER PAST
During the interview, K. Michelle also referred to her time as a stripper. It wasn’t the first time the "Love & Hip Hop" star would highlight that part of her past, though.
Back in 2014, K. Michelle unapologetically revealed in a musical production "Rebellious Soul: The Musical" that she once worked as an exotic dancer.
"It’s nothing I’m ashamed of, it’s just part of me," she told Hip Hollywood at the time before disclosing that a failed relationship led her to the pole:
"After the guy left me, or whatever, and got married at random at All-Star Weekend, I started dancing and I didn’t want to tell my mother… I was determined I couldn’t go back to Memphis."
THROWING STONES IN GLASS HOUSES
It was because of her admission that K. Michelle caught some flack last year after sharing a post on social media that appeared to shame strippers.
"I don’t understand how you could down being a stripper when you were stripper [it] was helping you to pay your bills," one user wrote, per Atlanta Black Star. "The biggest irony of all that is a lot of her friends have been all of those things, I can’t stand when women do this."
