Whoopi Goldberg's Look-Alike Granddaughter Celebrates Her Parents' 8th Anniversary in a New Photo

Whoopi Goldberg’s granddaughter, Jerzey Dean, posted a photo with her mother to celebrate her parents’ anniversary.

Jerzey Dean recently shared a photo with her mom, Alex Martin, to celebrate the 8th anniversary of her parents. She captioned the post:

“Happy Anniversary to My Parents (my dad wasn’t down to shoot).”

Dean is the granddaughter of actress and television host Whoopi Goldberg, from her only daughter with Alex Martin. Like her mother, Martin was married three times, but with the same man, Bernard Dean.

She has three kids: Amarah Skye, Jerzey, and Mason. Amarah has also given birth to a daughter, Charli Rose.

Goldberg spends a lot of time with her great-granddaughter and even influenced the “Today” host on her Halloween costume last year. She said:

“I’m Vampirina, and I’m Vampirina because my great-granddaughter loves it, and so I watch it with her all the time.”

She also grew close to her grandkids, who calls her “granny,” which was also how her daughter addressed Goldberg’s mother.

KNOWING ALEX MARTIN

Martin is also quite close to her mom, with their own reality show that aired before called “According to Alex.” Not only do they talk throughout the day, but also does Goldberg consider her daughter a best friend.

The 46-year-old gave the “The View” host her first grandchild in 1989 after welcoming Amarah to the world. Since having kids, Goldberg took notice of her daughter’s kind heart as a mother.

Because Martin’s childhood wasn’t as easy, she tries to give her children the life she didn’t have while growing up.

She said:

“I know what it’s like with the food stamps because my mom has her [Welfare] cards framed. I remember we had the one-room space and we slept in the bed together. I remember when we wanted to travel we would drive across the country in broke down bugs.”

The host realized that she was not invested nor in love with her partners then, and by the time Goldberg figured it all out, she was already married to three men.

RELATIONSHIP ADVICE FROM GOLDBERG

Unlike her daughter and granddaughters, Goldberg did not have a successful marriage and was not handed things on a silver plate.

The “Sister Act” star was thrice married, which all ended up in divorce. It took the actress a while before realizing that being in a relationship was not the life for her.

She shared:

“One day, I thought: I don’t have to do this. I don’t have to conform. I tried marriage, and it wasn’t for me. You can’t be in a marriage because everybody’s expecting you to.”
