Osmond revealed that she had “chipped off a piece” of her kneecap during a show last week. However, she shared with her fans that the injury wouldn’t stop her from taking the stage on Thursday night.

The incident occurred while she was performing at the Flamingo Las Vegas residency she shares with brother Donny Osmond, 61. The musician gave an update on her injury saying:

“I’m fine. This is the last week of shows at the Flamingo. And so for those of you that have bought tickets for that last week, I will be there. Donny was so sweet. He said, ‘Marie, I can handle the last week,’ and I said, ‘I think they want to see Donny and Marie.’”

Even though she will perform her set with her brother, the knee injury will render her immobile to an extent. That means she won’t be as agile but, fans can still look forward to hearing her singing.

Osmond, who was wearing a leg brace, explained:

“It’s underneath the kneecap, I chipped off a piece. So I probably won’t be dancing a lot, but I can sing!”

Video footage aired on the talk show revealed the moment the incident occurred and how calm Osmond was. She initially thought she’d broken her knee before her brother walked her off the stage.

Having had a similar incident in September 2019, the singer suspected the recent injury was brought on by the previous one. She revealed that before the first incident occurred, she’d never “fallen before.”

Osmond elaborated:

“I think maybe the knee was a little bit not as strong. I probably should have been wearing my brace. But as I made that turn my boot stuck on the floor and then I wasn’t able to turn and I just went down. I’m pretty black and blue, it’s really pretty.”

Despite the injury, the star shared that she was “Ok.” After the recent incident, the musician missed the next night's show leaving her brother to perform solo.

The Osmond siblings aren’t allowing injuries to dampen their moods. Instead, Osmond revealed that they had made a bet against each other that even if one of them falls; you have to “keep singing.”

The singer joked:

“If you don't keep singing you have to pay the other person 500 bucks. The whole time I'm like, 'Save the microphone, save the microphone!' Not the knees.”

In September, in the dressing room of “The Talk,” Osmond was recorded while icing her injured knee. She captioned the short clip: “The show must go on.”

At the time, the singer had bruised her knees during another performance at the Flamingo Resort. Despite the injury, she managed to make it back to California in time to film an episode of “The Talk.”

For her last performance with her brother for the year, the singer promised fans that the Las Vegas concert would be one that they would never forget.

She also vowed to sing the fan’s best-loved classics such as “Puppy Love,” “Paper Roses,” and “Soldier of Love.” The Osmond’s residency will end on Saturday after an eleven-year run.
