Carrie Underwood Tears up during Acceptance Speech for Her Two Awards at the 2019 AMAs
Carrie Underwood was overwhelmed on Monday night when her first win of the night was quickly followed up by a second one. She teared up during her speech.
Underwood, 36, beat out fellow nominees Dan + Shay and Kane Brown on the way to receiving her 14th and 15th American Music Awards on Sunday night.
When she reached the stage, however, she was stopped short from making her speech when presenter Colbie Smulders announced another win. The clip is found below.
The "Cry Pretty" singer also beat out Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris to grab the Favorite Female Artist — Country award for the night. Underwood thanked God first in her speech.
She also thanked her husband Mike Fisher, as well as her two sons Isaiah Michael and Jacob Bryan, who were on the road with her during her summer tour. "Mama loves you!" she said.
As Underwood went onto thank her manager Ann Edelblute, she noticed she was crying, and the singer couldn't help but start crying herself.
She thanked the fans last saying, "You guys love on us so well, and thank you so much for that." Finally, she thanked the AMAs for allowing the fans to vote for the awards because they're the ones who matter most.
Just days ago, in anticipation of Thanksgiving, Underwood listed a few more things she was thankful for this past year. She spoke to record label UMG.
She said the list of things she's thankful for is too long, but mentioned her family, health, and safety throughout the time she traveled — especially with baby Jacob.
She was also thankful for her Cry Pretty 360 Tour and, of course, her fans. Last night, Underwood stunned in a dazzling dress with a high slit and low chest.
Just a week ago, though, she was glowing in a sheer gold gown at the 2019 CMA Awards which she hosted alongside Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. Designed by Elie Madi, the dress was a show-stopper.

She accessorized it with orange Jared Lehr earrings. Her subtle makeup look and side-swept waves completed the stunning look. She may not have intended it, but she was certainly dressed to kill.
