Toni Braxton Dazzles in White Dress as She Performs 'Unbreak My Heart' on the AMA Stage for the 1st Time in 25 Years
Toni Braxton marked her return to the AMA stage with a nostalgic number and dressed in a gown reminiscent of the one she wore 25 years ago on the same stage.
Toni Braxton made an epic comeback to the AMA stage. The singer dazzled her audience when she performed for the first time after close to two decades on the same stage and 25 years since she debuted on the awards show.
Back in 1994, the singer was dressed in white for her first-ever performance in the AMAs. She also raked three awards that night. She won the AMA award for adult contemporary new artist, best new artist, and best soul/R&B album. Her last appearance was in 2001.
For her epic return, Braxton still sported the same short hair and wore a similar white gown in lace as she enchanted her audience with her rendition of her popular hit, “Unbreak My Heart.” The number one hit won her a Grammy in 1997.
The singer’s breathtaking return to the AMA stage was complemented by the awards she took home the same night.
Accompanied by violinists in white tuxedos, the 52-year-old mesmerized her audience as her angelic voice filled the recesses of the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. After 25 years, her singing prowess proved flawless with her nostalgic performance.
Braxton was also a sight to behold in her off-shoulder, form-fitting, floor-length gown by Yousef Al Jasmi. It had a delicate white shawl wrapped around her arms which glowed as the stage lights hit it.
The singer’s breathtaking return to the AMA stage was complemented by the awards she took home the same night. She was hailed the favorite soul/R&B female and bagged the favorite soul/R&B award too.
Toni tweeted after her performance, "Great to be home." We couldn't agree more. It was certainly great to see the songstress in her element and winning her audience with her powerful performance.
Braxton was sporting her long hair as she was flanked by her towering sons who looked dapper in their black ensembles. The singer’s feathered beige gown allowed her to stand out.
It was clearly a memorable night for everyone especially Braxton who was in the company of the people she loves while celebrating the glory of her return and her AMA awards.
