Maya was born in New York, and just like any young adult, she shares the details of her life on her social media page. Recently she posted an update of herself sitting by a window, with a guitar behind her.
The model was in a black jacket, and her short gold hair was brushed to both sides of her eyebrows. "@fuzzyfruit whale bone," she captioned the image. In the post, she could easily be mistaken for her beautiful mother.
Born to her famous actress mother, Uma Thurman and star father, Ethan Hawke, she struggles with dyslexia, and this influenced her childhood days.
The young Thurman-Hawke changed her institution of study several times before landing in Saint Ann's School, Brooklyn, and this school provided her an artistic environment.
Maya's intriguing surname is a conglomerate of her dad's and mom's who met on a movie set the same year she was born.
She capitalized on this and pursued a career in acting by gaining admission into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. Later she went on to study at the performing arts school Juilliard.
In 2017, she modeled for Calvin Klein, after her experience with Vogue and an English Fashion outlet known as AllSaint's.
That same year Maya Ray Thurman bagged her limelight role in BBC's miniseries adaptation of "Little Women," and later featured in the Netflix series "Stranger Things" as Robin Buckley.
Another one of the young actress's popular features was in her "Linda Kasabian" role in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
In recent times, she has taken to writing songs, and has successfully released two songs titled "Stay Open" and "To Love a Boy."
Maya's intriguing surname is a conglomerate of her dad's and mom's who met on a movie set the same year she was born. The pair stayed married for five years and then went their separate ways after giving birth to their son, Levon Thurman Hawke, in 2002.
The model is also a big sister to three stepsisters, Clementine Hawke, Indiana Hawke, and Luna Thurman Busson.
The first two were the products of her father's second marriage to Ryan Shawhughes, and the third, from her mother's past relationship with Arpad Busson.
