Kim Kardashian Comments on Sister Kourtney's Desire to Step Back from KUWTK

Kim Kardashian gave fans a breakdown of what's going on with sister Kourtney's unwillingness to create more content for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." She also touched on a possible end decision.

On Tuesday, Kim Kardashian visited "The Ellen Show" and revealed the full details of the situation with sister Kourtney, who has been withholding some of her personal life on KUWTK.

The reality show, which has been running for over a decade, requires a certain amount of hours of content. Kim explained in the video found below.

Kim and Khloe step up

Speaking to DeGeneres, the reality star revealed that due to Kourtney's withdrawal from the show, Kim and Khloe have had to fill in and record more of their lives.

The task has been exhausting for the two sisters. Kim noted that while Kourtney does enjoy sharing her life, she only wants to film when "she feels like it."

She added:

"To be in this limbo and have us do this for so long is frustrating. So we've come to the conclusion that she'll film a little bit and — I don't even know if we have a conclusion actually."

Kim admits to photoshop

Kim further explained that in season 18, things have to get worse before getting better between her and Kourtney. Thankfully, they eventually come to an understanding.

Kim also shared why she ended up photoshopping her daughter Saint into her Christmas family portrait with husband Kanye and their three other kids.

Kourtney announces step back from KUWTK

Last month, Kourtney first revealed that she would be putting out less material on KUWTK to better focus on her three kids, Mason, nine, Penelope, seven, and Reign, four.

She explained that she wouldn't be saying goodbye, however, and encouraged listeners to wait and see what will be on the show. Still, Khloe said she would miss her sister.

Kim threatens to fire Kourtney

After that interview, an episode of KUWTK showed as Kim threatened to fire Kourtney for being secretive with her life. It was especially intense since Kourtney seemingly had a hickey on her neck.

She defended her privacy in the show at the time but based on Kim's explanation, it may be that something's got to give, so that the younger sisters are not overloaded. We anticipate the fallout in the next season.
